Would have been nice to move Williams up the field before throwing him out of the side. Has much more tricks than a few others in the team.

Seriously Bevo and his VFL bottom 26 players. How did Scott get given a game. Just means our bottom 6 gets even worse. Give kids ago instead of bloody role players who are late 20’s who struggle to get the pill and would not get a game for the Roos.. Give West a decent run. By all reports he was one of the best in the practice match.

Cordy over Schache mmm, Cordy moves slower than Mick Nolan and cannot get to a contest. Maybe Schache should get 3 possessions so he does not stuff up as much

thank god JUH is selected. If not my membership card would be in the microwave.

Wouldn't be so sure about Cordy going back. Think he'll play up forward and 2nd ruck.

Backs: Keath, Gards, Duryea, Croz, Daniel, Dale, Richards
Mids: English, Bont, Macrae, Hunter, Dunks, Roarke, Libba, Treloar
Fwds: Naughton, Cordy, JUH, VDM, Weightman, Hannan, Scott

Certainly a better structure than last week, despite being less talented IMO.

Williams has played 2 horrendous games in a row but I would have thought he's got a fair bit of credit in the bank. We could also push Dale/Daniel up onto the wing to somewhat cover the loss of Smith.

Meanwhile we have other plonkers who we seem to can't get rid of instead.

Don't mind the ins. Scott has some clean skills in the forward line which we need. Doc is invaluable, and JUH needs to get games. Croz gives Gardner and Keath aerial support and Cordy can go around the ground to patch holes.

Schache and Williams didn't cope with the pressure of playing Melbourne so can't complain about those changes. Unfortunate about Bailey Smith's injury.

Stunned at Williams' omission. I thought he had more than enough credits in the bank.
Sometimes there are games that have to get you dropped regardless just to maintain the integrity in team selection and so everyone knows what is not acceptable. Remember the standard you walk past or overlook is the standard you accept and we can’t accept what Williams dished up last Thursday. It was totally and utterly unacceptable.

So hopefully he does find form soon and get back in the team because he is so much better than what he showed both last week and in the GF. But I am glad to welcome back Taylor Duryea, I’m not sure why he wasn’t playing last week but he was missed and I always feel better with him in the backline.

Good to see JUH given a chance and we need to start getting games into him. Very sad to hear Baz is injured, we will definitely miss him no doubt.

A few players lucky to survive last weeks game because Williams and Schache weren’t alone, hopefully they can all get their heads in the game from the first bounce this time and tidy up the unforced errors.

Williams played one of the worst games that you'll ever see a rebounding defender play so, since someone had to make way for Duryea, it was an easy decision to drop him.
6 turnovers that led to goals. Has been horrible for a while now.

Mate, they both shat the bed big time. If a player has 6 turnovers for 6 goals then it needs to be punished.
So you get punished for one bad game ?

They aren’t the first and won’t be the last.

Players can’t play knowing one bad game and they are dropped

Hannan and Weightman combined for half a tackle speaks volumes to mindset. Dropping them would have been preferable and a bigger statement especially about bringing non negotiables to the table.

I see dropping Williams especially as almost play conservative footy.

Yeah give me Cordy over Schache any day after both were awful last week, and one likely had to be dropped for JUH. Cordy is still a better backup ruck ( not great still but more physical at least) and depth KPD with Schache being the better forward, but I thought Schache absolutely deserved to be dropped this week.

Thought Williams might have had a few more credits in the bank, but with Crozier playing so well last week and Richards, Dale, Daniel etc, we have a few at that position already. Glad to see Duryea back in too and can't wait to watch Jamarra kick a couple, hope he gets a really solid run of games from now.

I kept hitting my F5 key on Tom Morris' Twitter page this afternoon. There were nil Tweets about Bailey Smith missing so Baz being included in our outs has come as a complete shock.
