Far from it. Racked up possessions but did nothing with them. I counted about 8 turnovers. Johnson and macrae were better. Even Wilson. Brown missed a set shot 15m out from goal, worst still, it was completely expected.

Pretty sure the club lists best players with BOG named 1st.

Listed as “Brown, Tardrew, Johnson, Macrae, Wilson, Poulter”

Clearly the club holds a different perspective.

Now you can welcome back Cal haha

He’s earned a chance. Wouldn’t completely discount Tyler from consideration either. He’s been in the seniors already and retained in emergencies so they retain him in their thinking.

Cal and Tyler to come into the team!

This game has suddenly got a hell of a lot more difficult.

Given that T.Brown was the sub last week you'd think he'd still be ahead of his brother and others to replace Adams even if that idea doesn't fill one with much confidence.

Johnson needs to come in for de Goey. He can't substitute for de Goey through the midfield but will help replace the X factor Jordan provides when forward.

I get the feeling that Maynard will be utilised as the inside bull this week, while Pendles will receive extra minutes in the middle.

Howe Roughead Noble

IQ Moore Pendlebury

J Daicos Maynard Sidebottom

Johnson Mihocek WHE

Elliott Cameron Ginnivan

Foll: Lipinski Grundy Crisp

Int: N Daicos Madgen Henry Reef

Out: Adams, DeGoey

In: Roughead, Johnson

Madgen remains the luckiest player in the league.

Yeah, except the current government guidelines say that you're only "immune" for 8 weeks. Given most of our team apparently got it in January, most will need to isolate again if they become a close contact etc.
Close contact now isn’t applicable in most workplace settings (only aged/health care), so it’s more a matter of household contacts.

I’d like to see McInnes given more midfield minutes in Adams’ absence. Can’t see him running out a full midfield game though, so perhaps we rotate him forward/mid with another young mid.

Gut feel says Johnson needs a few more games before he’s ready. He’s only had one good game as a forward.

Shit I must've missed that bit

Go back to the Taylor Adams thread circa 2014-15. Remember Maynard being potted early on too

The question is whether it’s mental/decision making for C brown or a hard to rectify habit and/or technical issue

It’s probably the later… that Callum never been (or will be) an AFL standard kick

One might end up being three or four more, like what happened to us. At least we'll get a closer game now and hopefully not a blow out.
Prob a bit different situation. Only 5 players havent had it. Where over in the west, it was only beginning. WHE had it a few weeks back. Other than, couple coaches or close contacts have been about it. Depends where and when he got it I guess.

Sorry Apex36 but you can’t have these 2 changes and expect to win.

My reason for this is based on current year your outs have contributed 52ave disposables,14 scoring involvements, 600 m gained and 14 clearances.

Roughead and Johnson don’t bring that to the table. You can’t bring in 2 x KPP for 2 ball winners.

Madgen must go if Roughead comes in.

Agree to Johnson coming in as he’s ready.

Roughead for Madgen yes.

Ball winner must come in for adams or small speedy transition player. My tip McRae or CB.

I think Moore, Roughead, Howe cover their backs.

Firstly, Johnson is not even close to a KPP, despite his height.

Neither Macrae or Brown are proven ball winners at AFL level. I’d back Maynard in to be more effect live than either of them at centre bounces, and yes, you can have Madgen taking Maynard’s spot in defence.

I think this is the right way to go about it. Brown and Macrae put there hands up for a midfield role but they can’t come in and be expected to replace the physicality of De Goey and Adams.
