“You can’t just bring youth in just to make our team younger, they have got to be ready to play and play to the level that we require,” Hart said.

A level that we require? Hardly ****ing anyone is playing at the level we require! That's the point. But unbelievably it wasn't the worst thing he said. Get rid of this guy!

After the Essendon game a caller on 5AA says they need to bring in some of the younger players

Bickley says “You can’t write off the year, they can still win enough games to play finals”

I’m thinking “That’s the point! No one’s writing off the year, were saying they CAN’T win enough games to make finals WITH THIS TEAM. We need to try other players!”

FMD...
The people who have been through the club have been indoctrinated

Youth = Failure

Experience = Success

They're the equivalent of anti vaxers and will not change their mind no matter how many sacked coaches or failed seasons we have

Are our existing players playing to the level we require?

Hart, you dimwit

I want Fog in for his aggression. Our team plays too nice at the moment. I want fierce gang tackling. I want push and shove before the first bounce. I saw it in 2017. Why haven't I seen it since? There is no passion. They have been turned into sideways kicking robots.

why does Bickley think bringing in young players means Adelaide will miss the finals?

West coast are playing kids like rioli, Allen, Cameron and they are adding to the team.

When Richmond won in 2017 guys like Butler, rioli, Castagna were only 1-3 year players.

Because he’s an ex Adelaide coach and that’s ingrained in them

With the way this club is run and coached he should ask for a trade regardless. Under the current regime he'll be 25 before he gets a decent crack at serious game time.
I really don't know why the young draftees would sign extensions when we continually play the tried and failed and then we have the Oricle....Campo...telling us we need to back the tried and failed time and time again.

Why the f**k would a young kid want to stay here. If it was my boy I'd tell him to get the f**k out for the sake of his footy career.

looking at their age and contracts, Jenkins, Lynch and Walker could be Adelaide's 3 tall forwards for at least the next 2 years right?

Hard to play a 4th.

Fogarty shouldn't wait that long if that's the case.

Heard a bit of that segment ... Bickley said no one in our sanfl team pushing for selection and we played Davis against Geelong and he got rag dolled - his words weren't rag dolled but basically that

With Roo teeing off it is evident that board is starting to distance themselves from the coaches and the playing group.

I really think Pyke has absolutely nothing to lose as his days really are numbered. The only way he can come out of this is if he can truly demonstrate he can adapt and make the bold calls.

Trade him for Carlton's 2020 1st rounder....? I think you guys will improve next year.

Mackay didn't perform in the SANFL and that didn't stop them bringing him back.

Harrison Wigg performed for two years in the SANFL, they never gave him a chance. They completely ignore youth when it does perform and use the "team balance" or "we want to back the side in" excuse as why they can't play them, but then use it as the team balance excuse of why they need to bring guys like Mackay back, despite them doing SFA in the SANFL too.

Obviously the club is run by arseclowns. The fact we're the only football club at any level that wants to employ Ben Hart should be proof of that.

Pyke coaches like with one thing in mind. Consistency. He'd rather pick a senior player knowing he'll get a C performance guaranteed than pick a youngster and risk getting a D, even though there's plenty of chances he'll get a B from them too.

We did played Jones early and should have continue with it (despite his inconsistent form) and then introduced McHenry later in the season and one of the young defenders in Sholl or Butts in defence for Hartigan.

And we struggled early, so the younger players copped the blame and got dropped. We lost to Geelong so Davis got dropped, lost to the Power and Gallucci got it next.
