Club is preparing to get in the guiness book of records with the oldest team possible. Cue Otten, Jacobs, Douglas.
Probably not Sauce, people would tear down what's left of Footy Park if we did that. ROB was sensational

Just have to get more pace in our team.

Given the importance for draft picks, this isn't the time for half a dozen changes with full on youth though.

In: Fogarty, Jones, Gallucci, Stengle
Out: Walker, Greenwood, Hartigan, Murphy

B: Brown, Talia, Kelly
HB: Milera, Keath, Laird
C: Seedsman, Mrouch, Atkins
HF: Lynch, Fogarty, Sloane
F: Betts, Jenkins, Stengle
R: O'Brien, Brouch, Smith
I: Mackay, Gallucci, Jones, Knight

Been saying all year that we can't have 3 poor ball users in defence. Kelly has been playing better than Hartigan, so he makes way.

With Smith playing on ball, Milera should revert back to our backline mainly where he has played his best football.

Walker looks sore with his elbow & just can't run, so time for Fog.

Greenwood has been struggling most of the season to run out games, so we can use the likes of Sloane more up forward.

Gallucci & Jones in gives us more speed. They should have come in against the Bombers, well at least one of them.

Edit - appears have swapped Stengle for Murphy too. Eddie appears to be happier...

Agree that its a must-win for our Draft pick. and we should be pushing for a big win.
Walker for Fogarty is a must this week, (My Tip is Walker will be Injured rather than omitted) If only 1 change that is a must. Against Carlton with Lynch and JJ to cause some concerns to Carlton defence, Fogarty will kick a few and cause some headaches. the worse case he will a least put up some fight. (yea I am Piss off with Walker)
But I would be looking at Scholl for MacKay or someone else, who offers the same run and attack but has the ability to be more defensive. And dare I say Creative. MacKay is good depth and we don't need good depth playing against Carlton.
Gallucci needs to play, he quickly turning into that player who gets the ball into the forward line with speed. he would be worth 3 plus goals better than the shit we turned out on Friday.
And Stengle for Murthy or Betts, but agree with your Eddie play better with Stengle.

Your guys look to be playing for their coach at the moment. The change seems to have re-energised everyone.

Whereas we're looking a bit tired/stale.

Interesting that in three interviews I've heard from our players and coaches since last night's game they've all mentioned that this is our only game on the MCG for the season. Hopefully it can trigger some intensity

We’ll be needing to play our most likely finals 22. Out Murphy, in Dougie, Otto and Sauce to travel as emergencies so we maximise continuity credits.

I expect no changes. I feel Pyke is all-in in going down with the ship. Riccuito has mentioned twice now in media the fact that we are the oldest team in the league whilst not being a contender and this was not acceptable. All well and good about mentioning it how about enforcing your words. If pyke won't budge in not developing the team for the future to ensure we dont fall off a cliff he needs to be terminated. Ironically a pumping by the blues may the the best thing for the club long term If it's the stimulus for change.

Pyke is picking the side that he wants.

Saints win, Crows in the 8

'Don do you take heed of what a board member said about the list and will you make multiple changes in reaction to the loss? '

"Adelaide are in the 8 and we feel we are contenders to go deep, in light of that we won't be rushed into emotional decisions and see how the lads respond on the track before assessing what little changes, if any, we make"

Give enough rope and .... Scapegoat. I would change it up of I was Pyke, else end of year I'd know I was gone if it didn't work out - which it wont. Surely can't back in same team. Then again with McKay hitting targets maybe ?

Carlton will bring the heat for this one. These Crow boys dont like that. Near zero chance we will win.

Dial up the pressure around the contest forcing our entries to be indiscriminate hacks forward. Win the contest in defensive 50 because our forwards won’t and then transition without pressure through the arcs hitting up forward targets with ease. Any side capable of decent footy in patches can come into our game with confidence in a plan and their genuine opportunity to win if they implement it well. We’ve made ourselves as easy a target as we could have.

I agree. We need the wheels to completely fall off. People are delusional if they think we could make an impact in the finals even if we manage to fall in to 7th or 8th spot.

But Dougals, MacKay (I know he is still getting games), Jacobs and Gibbs are no longer in the best 22 so it's kind off a mini-rebuild and list turn-over, including Betts and Walkers form.

Should be a cracking game...though i definitely feel this game means more to the supporters than the players.

Cripps looked sore and possibly injured in today's game...should get up but clearly not 100%.

You guys smashed Essendon in clearances so that's a big worry for mine...Carlton will need to at least break even there i'd suspect and hopefully get you on the outside through Walsh/Fisher/Petrevski-Seton etc.

We don't have the same counter-attacking, speedy half backs Essendon do so the territory battle will be important.
The only thing that will be cracking in this game is my spirit after you put the result beyond doubt before half time.

What I would like to happen...

Out: Walker (inj), Mackay, Atkins, Greenwood, Knight
In: Fogarty, Sholl, Stengle, Gibbs, Gallucci

Walker isn’t fit. Give him 1-2 weeks to get the elbow right.

Mackay is a rag doll who isn’t going to be part of anything successful. Should never play again.

Atkins shat the bed again under intense pressure. This is the story of his career.

Greenwood straight up dogged it. Has the demeanour of someone who has one foot out the door.

Knight is a bog average footballer who has no business being out there.

What is far more likely to happen...

Out: Knight
In: Gallucci
Edit: Actually we are probably even more likely to bring Douglas in. Benny Hart will be rubbing his paws together thinking about the potential impact Douggie could have on that awe-inspiring forward setup he’s created.

Genuinely hope we can find a way to win, purely for draft reasons.

Couldn’t give a shit about any of the remaining games after this one - the best thing to happen long-term would be to beat Carlton and lose to everyone else.
