Gibbs featured on the Crows Show. Back next week to face his old side?

Him or Douglas for Mackay would be the only change I see them making.

Ha i wish, we've been slow starters under Teague and couldn't put Gold Coast away.

I genuinely see this match as 50/50 right now.
50/50 for the first half at least.

I'ld bring in Darcy Forgarty for Greenwood and play him alongside Walker as well as thru the midfield

Only other change i would think of doing is Gibbs for ?? Mackay/Atkins/or one of the back 6 (without seeing matchups or Carlton's lineup, i still think our back 6 as a collective are too slow despite how well lol each one of them has been performing.

Such a pity McHenry and MacAdam are injured and Jones has had a couple of poor games now - for me, they would be certain starters.

I watched the replay of the Essendon loss. I reckon the midfield was actually fine.

Our forwards and defence were the problem.

Our forwards provided zero defensive pressure. Murphy is our best and he is below average.

Tex - statue
JJ - statue
Lynch - statue
Smith - statue
Betts - cannot run
Murphy - runs around but no power and easily brushed off
Knight - runs around but no power and easily brushed off

When the rebounding defenders can burst clear and hit an option in the centre square - and run last for the receive while their forward opponent is not on the same screen - the midfield and defence does not have a chance.

Unfortunately the solution is to replace Eddie Murphy and Knight with three strong pressure forwards and we do not have one on our list. Eg West Coast’s trio Rioli Ryan JCameron. Pyke is skewered by our awful list management.

Our defenders also struggle against quick forwards. AMT brushed off Luke Brown.

For this week, Tex must go. Contributed nothing offensively and less than nothing defensively. Replace with Fogarty.

I doubt Gallucci and Davis would produce anything different to Betts and Murphy but I wouldn’t mind giving Davis a run through to the end of the season to see if he can adjust and contribute at the level.

Other than that, not much to do other than go through the motions and hope for solutions in the draft and trade period.

What I would like to happen...

Out: Walker (inj), Mackay, Atkins, Greenwood, Knight
In: Fogarty, Sholl, Stengle, Gibbs, Gallucci

Walker isn’t fit. Give him 1-2 weeks to get the elbow right.

Mackay is a rag doll who isn’t going to be part of anything successful. Should never play again.

Atkins shat the bed again under intense pressure. This is the story of his career.

Greenwood straight up dogged it. Has the demeanour of someone who has one foot out the door.

Knight is a bog average footballer who has no business being out there.

What is far more likely to happen...

Out: Knight
In: Gallucci
Edit: Actually we are probably even more likely to bring Douglas in. Benny Hart will be rubbing his paws together thinking about the potential impact Douggie could have on that awe-inspiring forward setup he’s created.

Genuinely hope we can find a way to win, purely for draft reasons.

Couldn’t give a s**t about any of the remaining games after this one - the best thing to happen long-term would be to beat Carlton and lose to everyone else.

I’m thinking we’re also a chance to get a bit more run and composure from our backline by dropping Harto and bringing in the more nimble looking Otto.

So maybe we avoided soft tissue injuries by doing fu** all fitness training?

This was posted prior to the preseason. The likelihood of having gone too far one way and then dial it back just right is extremely unlikely. Especially when you’ve got the Hass/Burton combo running the show. Remembering that Saunders is injury management, so he doesn’t really help us much in terms of getting our fitness program just right.

When you can't tackle and players run through you knowing you have no stopping power you look slow.

The lack of fitness issue is low hanging fruit to latch onto. Our real issue is the inept tackle technique of most.of our players.

In all of the losses we have had after being in front the opposition have had a sustained period where they just attacked the f50 knowing our guys cant tackle.

Dylan Shiel had no respect for our players between the arcs. The one time he did get stopped it was after he ran through three players and the fourth stopped him.

Were so ******* demented i wouldnt say this is actually a reality...
Otten, douglas, jacobs in
Keath, milera, obrien out.
Tex and Lynch already ruled out! So Dougy is almost a lock. It wouldn't at all surprise me to see them bring Sauce into the side.

EDIT: My mistake, Tex and Lynch not ruled out yet, but on the AFL.com injury wrap

B. Brown Talia Kelly
Hb. Laird Keath Seedsman
C. Atkins Smith Sloane
Hf. Davis Jenkins Milera
F. Stengle Fogarty Betts
R. Obrien Crouch Crouch
Int. Knight, Jones, Greenwood, Hartigan.

The balance of this team looks decent. More speed around all areas of the ground. Our forward line looks dangerous and capable of kicking a decent score. Rotate Smith and Milera on ball.

How can people be saying Jones, he was very ordinary? If it's a mid it is Gibbs or Gooch, my preference is Gibbs to be honest with Wilson a Matt Crouch replacement after his shocking game against Essendon

He carved us up!!
