Dropping Rowe is a bit baffling when weighed up against the form of a dozen other players holding their spots. Hasn’t been too bad so far this year compared to many.

I kinda get the Shoenberg one despite it hurting to see him out of the side.

It’s the same old AFC culture though, once you are considered a “senior player” it means you are effectively undroppable regardless of form. ROB currently the biggest beneficiary - we’re probably better off going with no ruck rather than ROB with the form he’s in.

Since when have the coaches ever worried about midfield balance.
I like Berry but surely he is more of the same
At least Hately offers some height in the midfield

I’m very happy to have Berry in the team ahead of Hately.

Sam has shown a fair bit of ‘driving the legs’ and running out the front of stoppages in the SANFL this year.

Plus I reckon he’d crush Hately in a 1v1 for the ball.

Strachan not Getty a game after that appalling effort from O'Brien is the one main issue I have.

Also I get McHenry has elite fitness but his complete lack of goal awareness and his inability to win one on ones with a loose ball at half forward concern me. I'd rather Pedlar there at this stage, Even Rowe at half forward is better than McHenry

Better balanced forward line with McAdam in. Rowe, McHenry plus Murphy too many of that type. McAdam gives us something different.

Hinge out is a noodle scratcher. He's been very good and is versatile. If we're hoping he's not needed because he's not quite right why is he an emergency...? We've pulled that sort of bullshit before and got burned.

Whether it's Berry or Schoenberg, all I want to see is them at the centre bounces. We have to change the mix in there. Can't just roll with the same failed combo.

I dont really hate Schoenberg being dropped based off his poor form, hopefully he goes back, dominates and regains some touch then can come right back in. The part that is always frustrating is that we would never drop a senior player first, it's always look for the young players as scape goats.

Very happy to see Berry in, hope he gets proper mid field minutes not just forward pocket crap.

Yep, I prefer Berry over Hately, it was more the lol at coaches wanting balance in the midfield

Sloane still in??
McHenry still in??

Schoey needed a reset, Rowe out is tough, would have dropped McHenry, Hinge out was obvious.

Berry and McAdam in is a start. Now need to work in Hamill, Hately, TT followed by Newchurch and FOG

Massively, this.

I was actually thinking this week that Hinge has become super important for us with his run given Seed is out and Milera is a massive question mark.

Plus Hinge is flexible and a handy height.

I’m super suss too given his injury cloud and being dropped/injured but named an emergency.

Keen to see Berry at centre bounces, worried it won’t happen tho.

I like that we’re investing in Cook.

The ins are fantastic, the outs not so much.

If Hinge is fit, he should be playing, absolute no brainer. If he squeezes out Jones or Brown, too bad for them.

Harry should've stayed, Crouch out. I'd say Sloane, but dropping captain courageous is a bridge too far for this club.

Laird, Keayes, Harry and Berry is looking a lot closer to how our midfield should look going forward. Rotate through Hately, Pedlar to try and see who meshes.

McAdam and Rachele to go with Gollant, Tex, Thilthorpe and a resting mid sounds like a great mix to me.

ROB definitely has incriminating pics, needs a spell.

Frampton out for any youngster you rate is also desireable.

Hinge wont play SANFL, he's not good to go this week at all.

Feel this is the last roll of the dice for McAdam. He's too lazy.

Berry is a good in.

Crouch still in is ok, but Sloane and ROB need a spell. Maybe ROB still in to combat the size of Nankervis. This game would suit Pedlar.

There's no reason to name an injured player on the emergency list, we have almost a full list to choose from
Last week Essendon named 3/4... which is why I knew Devon Smith would be the sub.

Prediction:
On the back of Mrouch and Sloane being locked in regardless of form and game-impact, the Crows will keep losing.
The next two juniors to be dropped because of those loses will be Jones and McHenry, not senior players.

Nicks is blind to his midfielders' ineffectiveness.

This looks like how we make our selections at the moment

Berry in, Good. I love the way he plays. Hard and tough at the ball and player. Good overhead.

Shoey needs a reality check. Notice how uptight he seems? Always complaining, throwing his arms up, appealing for frees fringe cheap seats.

I don’t get the Hinge out. If it’s injury then say so, if not it’s harsh.

Love love love Cook. Can’t wait to see him continue to grow.

Rowe brings something, but he lacks more. No competition in the air, no physicality, no pressure. I hate with every fibre in my body his ducking head throwing free seeking rubbish.

McAdam, we’ll see. Not the best pressure forward, but he at least offers an offensive threat!!

The biggest questions are over other things though.

Who will play in the middle? Can we please see some variety?

Will ROB play his role - take defensive marks, stay out of the way of the forwards, not tap to our disadvantage OR will he drive us all mad again?

Sloane. So many questions. Less CBAs, more time at HF?

Crouch. Some damage please, tackle hard, don’t handball to someone in a worse spot, go the pill - you are the first link in the chain … should NEVER be the last. Go forward ffs.

Frampton. Can he actually defend consistently? Not that I have seen.

Winnable game that none of us have any confidence be a blow out.

Gollant to struggle with Mcadam in and get dropped the week after.

Why would Gollant struggle with McAdam? More players with X factor the better.

Just hope we see McAdam more involved in the game as he is a huge talent... just goes missing way too often.

For those wondering why Rowe was dropped over McHenry, because Ned offers more forward pressure & we need to have the right balance.
