mcgovern too apparently, not sure why they would risk the health of one of their most important playersYeo, Flynn and Waterman all tests for this week.
It’s Fremantle, Derby.mcgovern too apparently, not sure why they would risk the health of one of their most important players
yeah, I get that, it just sounds silly considering it does nothing in the context of their seasonIt’s Fremantle, Derby.
They’re pretty confident after the last disaster class. Another weary game this one
Yeah you cant just rock up thinking you are going to win by 100.We had people posting before the last Derby that we'd be 50pts up at 3/4 time and that we'd beat them by the highest Derby margin ever, so as much as I want a thrashing it would probably be better for the team to get a competitive game.
In Rd 19 they (WC) did quite well against Brisbane, who are the form team of the competition, and this week they should get a couple of the players back who were on their injury list, or listed as a test on their injury list. (McGovern, Waterman, Yeo).
They'll have a forward line that would test our match-ups if Waterman is back with Allen and Williams, and Ryan if he plays forward, and they'll have the skeleton of decent backline if McGovern plays with Barrass.
Everything else around that is where they'll struggle to match it, especially with a majority Freo crowd getting stuck into them.
Earlier, I did read some posts bagging Duggan, but I do think he's one of their consistent players who plays with the required competitive intensity. Without him, and if Yeo misses, their midfield is Kelly, Ginbey and Reid, and there's not a lot of back up to that, but it is surprising how similar the teams are going to be from Rd 7 to Rd 21.
If we only make the change of Draper for Pearce, then the changes in personnel in our side will be:
OUT: Pearce, Emmett, Erasmus (sub), Hughes, Johnson
IN: Cox, Frederick, Switkowski, Wagner, Chapman (mostly more run/speed is the plus factor here)
Amiss would also be an IN as he was subbed in the first 5 minutes.
WC would have a lot more out, although apart from their afore-mentioned players, much of it is selection based rather than lack of availability, and arguably they would have at least a couple of better qualified INs this game in Allen and Ryan.
Just shows you how much of winning it is turning up with the right attitude. I think they'll be doing some tackling drills this week given how much it has been highlighted that they didn't have a single tackle inside their forward 50m against St Kilda.
That old gag was related to Danyle Pearce and not Clancee Pearce.Haha where is that willoblue guy. He hated Clancee.
But Schofield would want McGovern playing as he wants a scalp and he wants it to be us. They beat us before under Simmo so he’s thinking he had better do the same.yeah, I get that, it just sounds silly considering it does nothing in the context of their season
Lol listening to recent backchat seems Schofield doesn't barrack for the Eagles lol and was trying to find a team to go for.. seems he has jumped into freoBut Schofield would want McGovern playing as he wants a scalp and he wants it to be us. In spite of what he’s said, these remaining games are the practical component of his job interview for the permanent gig.

Yeo was out because of soreness right?Yeo, Flynn and Waterman all tests for this week.
You’re talking about Will Schofield. Will has been a Docker fan since his days at Peel Thunder and has a lot of Docker mates. He’s actually a good bloke in spite of having played for the Eagles.Lol listening to recent backchat seems Schofield doesn't barrack for the Eagles lol and was trying to find a team to go for.. seems he has jumped into freo
His best chance at a win is GC at home the following week or North away. But Schofield would want McGovern playing as he wants a scalp and he wants it to be us. They beat us before under Simmo so he’s thinking he had better do the same.

Is there any better source?Woodcock saying Ryan (our edition) didn’t train and in some doubt
I don’t really care what happens to McGovern tbh after his ambush on Jye.Would not risk McGovern this week at all, and probably for the year.
If he gets caught in a pack with Treacy or amiss going up for a mark. Ouch.
Just rest the poor bugger for the year.
Is there any better source?
If there isn't I wont get too concerned.

There were a few on light duties. Is there any better source?

I think he got quite friendly and/or started following closely the careers of some of our young players when he played with quite a few of them. You’re talking about Will Schofield. Will has been a Docker fan since his days at Peel Thunder and has a lot of Docker mates. He’s actually a good bloke in spite of having played for the Eagles.
Not trying to throw shade or anything but didn't we take it easy the week before the last derby? There were a few on light duties.
Maybe they had a harder session earlier in the week while fatigued and taking it easy?
Pretty heavy track as well, so resting the legs isn’t a bad thing
Good luck to him.But Schofield would want McGovern playing as he wants a scalp and he wants it to be us. They beat us before under Simmo so he’s thinking he had better do the same.

They risk him ending up in a bad way. It will be another slippery surface, and it didn't end well for PearceIt’s Fremantle, Derby.
