Sinclair would be a weird sub I reckon. Can't see him having much impact in 4th quarter. Can only really play BP.
I would like to see him and Marley take the smalls (do they have any?). Or, Toovey and Sinclair take the smalls and Marley starts midfield and shuts down cripps or Murphy.
Lol... I wish.
My smokey for sub would be Crisp.
I'd pay good money to watch Williams v Cripps.

Spesh I think you're underestimating the psychological impact on Reid here. He would have been burying himself in his rehab all year (not to mention 2014), and to deny him a chance to get on the park now might be devastating to him if he believes he's paid his dues.

Hypothetically it could even lead to him seeking a trade if he doesn't believe in the "put on ice until 2016" theory, which in all likelihood he doesn't.

Would Reid seeking a trade be bad for us?

Someone else can pay his contract while he sits on the sidelines

Dunno, maybe the club is worried Reid is contemplating retirement, and they want to give him every chance to prove himself and play on?

(To those who think I'm saying Reid is contemplating retirement - I'm not! We have no idea what is happening behind closed doors - just proposing one plausible explanation)
I'm getting sick and tired of all your reason and common sense!!! :p

I like the comments from Moore yesterday that he and Reid had sort of "been through a lot together" this year with both starting in rehab and playing in the VFL together.

Now they both get to play in the forward line, and will both get to sing the song for the first time this year (at senior level) together.

Reid will help Moore also, obviously Moore was left alone last week up forward against a very good defender in McDonald. Reid can now come in and take away that real focus from Moore.

Add Cloke next week (and beyond) and that forward line looks so much better.

I like most just want Reid to get through the game but if he happens to kick a goal it will be one of the most special moments we've had this year, because he has been through a lot.

Ross Lyon says that would just be Reid doing his job.

Pies BF posters (too many, not all) say if he doesn't kick 5 we must demand his delisting.

I'll be happy if he makes it through the game, we get a win and Moore has a chance to shine.

It's hard to imagine what it's like for an AA-level player, who should be in the prime of his career, having his body go completely haywire.

Selling low is almost always bad...

What would he be worth? lets say Freo was prepared to risk a late 1st round on him. What do you get late first round a chance a player will make it? Look at Grundy, Broomhead & Kennedy. Only 1 of them you can absolutely say will be on a AFL list in 5 years time

I would say for a club with a strong development system, the chances of a late 1st round pick making it in the AFL are very high. There is also a chance you grab someone like a Fyfe or Beams of course.

Unless the value is only going to get lower and then eventually become worthless.

Sometimes you have to cut your losses
Yes, indeed. You obviously think that to be the case?

Show me one single post that says that and I'll eat my hat.

I think it's more likely than Reid magically piecing himself back together and going on to have a long career.

IF Reid can play out the rest of the year in the AFL with no injuries then maybe we need to reconsider, but that is a BIG if.

I believe Reid's muscle issues stem from a structural issue with his back that will never be fixed. It's just about managing him for the rest of his career and getting as much out of him as you can.

I think what Reid might still be able to produce for us, in a sense our "equity" in Reid, is worth more than we'd get in trade.

Damn it, Reid's back! Starting to get excited now. We are well and truly due for a very big win. And who better to smash than Carlton? Bring it on.:D

I had a Feeling all week it will be a Draw:eek:
