I could be wrong but I can't see Hayden Young playing AFL yet, he's been out a while now... Did his hammy late Jan and then again end of Feb when he increased training loads, so has been two months without much game action and no WAFL yet. Very important player so hopefully returns via the WAFL this week.

Fyfe killed us last year, has played 3 WAFL games / practice matches so maybe fit enough to return. Pretty sure he isn't normally too great first up after an injury historically so i'll be pretty annoyed if he tears us apart again.
37 touches against us last year, was ridiculous.

We gave up 10 coaches votes to Xerri and 8 to TDK.

Darcy would monster the game if English’s form persists, would be good for us if he doesn’t play.

i have met Tim a few times he is a really nice guy maybe too nice to play angry and aggressively. If he could put these traits into his game he would be one of the leading ruckman in the game.

Did you guys see the benchmarking option in AFL stats, really help me to understand where the team is at.

Cracked the sads that he supposedly front loaded his deal and then when he was on a lower wage demanded a trade out.
I have no idea with this happened with Rory or not but as a general rule I would be filthy if a player did this to us. I suppose it’s the risk clubs take with front loaded deals.

The rumour with Treloar is he did the Pies a favour by agreeing to back-loading his contract, then they put him on the market as he was hitting the years with bigger $$$ (plus their incompetent list management), hence them paying a fair portion of his salary in his initial years with us, so it works both ways.

I don't disagree with you btw, but yeah clubs take the risk, but like us with Dunkley, have the option to hold a player to his contract. That then opens the can of worms about holding a player to a contract if he doesn't want to be there.

Who'd be a list manager?

Its still money that is owed to you at the end of the day. It isn't unusual for clubs to request players to take more money up front as well, sometimes even right at the end of the year before the books turn over for another 'AFL' year.

Forgotten how long these 9 day break games feel, although a good thing for the players no doubt.

Reckon this is a great chance for us to pinch a game as underdogs (according to the bookies).

Freo seem unsettled and down on confidence.

Reckon the fast deck will suit the way we are playing at the moment.

A win and 3-1 would be massive for our season.

No-one deserves to be dropped, although at least one set of fresh legs may be a good move (we have played 2 of 3 games in very hot, sapping conditions).

We should be super keen to have a real crack - counting down the hours.

A nine day break after the intensity of Fridays game will hopefully be beneficial, a lot of them were absolutely gassed by the end of it.

Would keep Dolan as the sub, his impact in the last was great, precisely when we needed the fresh legs and pace.
