We definitely shouldn’t rush Harris back with buddy out (not that he would have played on him).

Only tall up forward is Reid with Sinclair spending a bit of time there as Blakey doesn’t quite count as a tall yet and he may be dropped. Walker and Gardiner seem adequate for that.

Of course if Harris is fully fit he comes straight back in.

Yeah with Buddy out perhaps give Harris another week off and play it safe. Reid and McCartin appear to be the main two tall for the Swans. Should be winning this game and winning it well but seeing as we haven't beaten them for 100 years maybe we should just be satisfied with the four points first.

Would bring in Bailey if fit to give a bit more drive from the defence . Ainsworth was superb in first game. Bailey for Lester in my opinion

Hodge might be up for a break if that injury from GC game lingers.

Bailey would be a huge one I think. Can't drop young Answerth as he had a solid debut. Maybe Lester or Hodge if he is needing that break. Be tough to leave anyone out of the side from last week. If Matho is fit, I imagine he would have to go back to the 2s or Cutler/Taylor might make way but I think they would be unlucky. Cutler in particular.

Much more confident with Buddy out. We should win this. Only way we lose is if our midfield gets smashed which would be really disappointing

Buddy out makes me feel a lot more comfortable. It might make Sydney a little less predictable in attack but he is just such a large threat on his own.

If we arent going to make any structural changes like McStay out then I cant really see any changes. I would be happy not to risk Harris if not needed. Maybe in for Hodge if he needs the rest. Lester out could happen but he did nothing wrong to deserve being dropped.

Cutler and Taylor I think did well enough to keep Matho out. Plus I agree that Lyons did better without sharing the load and we looked better balanced between inside and outside mids

Really interesting selction this week onsidering it looks ;ike Matho, Bailey and Andrews might all be available. I would go:
In: Andrews, Bailey
Out: Hodge, Lester

Reasons:
Very tough on Hodge and Lester (which is a great sign) but we don't need that general defender anymore as we have Andrews.
Are we a better team with Andrews in or out? In of course
Having 2 runners out of defence in Bailey and Answorth is better than 1.
Lester was okay in the game but we can do better than okay as we don't have many injuries.
In saying that who knows what Fagan will do, he doesn't like changing a winning team but why wouldn't you when you can make that team even better?

I think the other thing with Lester is that he fills the need. He comes in when needed, gives it his all then goes back to the seconds. That seems to be his role now and that is fair enough. It's good to have someone reliable to call on in emergency but not always best 22

Yep i agree with this and the changes.

I actually cant wait to see Marcus Adams finally in the team.

FOr now Bailey brings in the pace from the back and Andrews might be able to get loose without Buddy there.

Swans still dangerous and maybe a bit more unpredictable with Franklin out.

But honestly I can sniff a real smacking here. We’ve been belted by them around packs and on the scoreboard for years, I reckon we will turn the tables and put them to the sword.
One of those games where everything clicks.

Interesting on the swans board that the names they are wanting to swap out and in I have genuinely no idea who they are. Now I am/was familiar with a lot of players but this is a whole new level. Not sure if this just means i watch no where near as much footy as I use to or the swans are in a world of trouble.

I said elsewhere LIONS BY 10 GOALS.

That was probably a bit ridiculous.

LIONS BY 12 GOALS :D

(Buddy is only averaging 2 goals/game this year)

They fielded the youngest team of the round last week, so it's not surprising we have NFI who they putting up for selection.

I want to brush them aside like the chaff they are. A fitting marker on the relative direction of each clubs' trajectory :)

Yeah look I don’t mind the Swans and happy to see them beat the arrogant vic clubs, especially in the grand finals. Also appreciate them helping us call out the bs about academies by salty vics.

But **** me I sure am sick of losing to them, would love us to thump them by ten goals.

Buddy out is big, until the Swans bring in someone no one has ever heard of from the NEAFL and who they have masterfully developed (as seems to always happen with the Swans) and he kicks 10 on us.

I think it's going to be closer than expected - Sydney always brings the pressure and even if we get on top there's a limit to how well we'll go against that. GWS only beat them by 40 last week.

It's a tough selection week if they're all fit, the only no brainer for me is Lester out for Andrews. I want Bailey back in but Answerth deserves more games, and I'm much happier with Cutler and Taylor (a bit less so) running around.

I thought Lions_Insider was really branching out on this post initially... damn avatars!

On top of Buddy being out I would expect to see 4-5 names you have never heard of come in for some you might have this week, Buddy on ice, re-build time at the Swans. would have thought we would win anyway, but with Buddy out, we should win and win easily.

Pretty much what I was going to post. Added bonus is Bailey can play through the midfield if needed as well.
