Would just like to see Webb carry his VFL form into this game, want to grab the game by it's nuts & hit every contest hard. Dahl & Bont will be key to us hopefully breaking even in the middle but they will need a chop out from Webb, Jong & Picken - hell, can even see Moyd rolling back the years when needed

Well to start you don't drop Stevens and or Jong this week.

I hate Jong as a footballer but we need those bodies this week and Hrovat is a dwarf and Webb doesn't have a body yet.

Dropping Stevens this week is simply mind boggling no matter how poor some think he has been and he has not been as bad as Jong

Stevens' disposal is extremely poor and has been ever since he was at west coast. The reason we lost last time was our disposal entering the forward 50 was pretty awful. We absolutely cut them up in the contest. Granted that was with liberatore and wallis but it is what it is. We cant magic guys back from injury. Stevens -> Webb is a sideways move IMO, especially considering how Stevens is playing at the moment. You cant get that upset over that change.

As for quality height we don't have it in the VFL to bring in. Roberts, Hamling, Cordy, Boyd, Roughy are already in the team. They are moving on from Big Will and I'm thankful for it to be honest.

Hrovat needs to play some time this year. If he is no good he will be traded, but gee, give the kid a go. The problem he has is Daniel. Daniel is coming along so well that similar height players will pale in comparison. But there is not much of Lukey Dahl and he gives us sooo much. Good luck Rat.

Geelong were massively superior with back height first time we played, but last week Bev changed it up and we were in the game AND, by crikeky, the boys had a crack. How do you know we can't beat north. Toyd could play a blinder, Stringer and Clay smash them inside.
Wells might get injured. And Waite.
And there's no Higgens this time

With Goldy and their midfield they will smash us inside this week. Bont is the only one we have to get the ball out this week. Jong is at best a zero footballer where he kills the ball he doesn't get it out.

And then the perennial Petrie(who loves to smash us) will have a field day IMO.

They will play Petrie Daw and Brown forward and bomb it on like they did last time and we don't have the midfield to get even clearances like we did last time that kept us in the game.

And to clarify I haven't called for Jong to be dropped this week but there is no way Stevens should be out and that is clearly his goodbye from the dogs

Dickson, Hrovat and Jong in the one team how can we even
consider a loss with such an enormous talent injection, team
of the year right there. Super confident it's go time.

Mate, Stevens is a hack. He's played one decent patch of football for us in between getting injured and/or dropped
He's not having a good year but he is a good player. Normally he has an impact but last week very little. Jong had far more impact and energy at the ball (what Bevo likes)

I wouldn't say good, very average player if you ask me! Will be traded at season end.

I've always been a Stevens fan but he's out of orm or injured atm.

Is he better than Dahl or Daniel in your opinion?
Certainly not at the moment. But if he can get a decent run of luck on the injury front he's going to be a very good player and would really add to our list. He's better than people think on here anyway, he will show that when he gets continuity.

Disagree wholeheartedly I think he is very average but time will tell.

My issue is he cannot play in the same team as Daniel Dahl Mclean and Smith who he is miles behind so why even bother keeping him on list?

I would have liked Minson in, but otherwise we have put our best possible together, Koby is out of form and Hrovat and Webb deserve their chance. Good to see Cordy given another go, thought he was good last week, Boyd and Morris are massive ins for us, this gives us a chance.

Be a tough game, Norf will have plenty of tall fire power with Daw only adding to that. We just need to find an avenue to goal, we'll no doubt get our chances

Well, it's lucky he is on the list given the injuries. How good is it that we can have injuries like we do and yet be able to replace them with someone like him and also Webb. McLean could come in next week just to highlight that you can't have too many good players, and you need a list of 30 minimum that can come in and do a job. It rare you roll out your best 22 each week.

He's pretty quick, neat skills, good around goals and a genuinely intelligent footballer. Of all the players you mentioned, he's really only similar to Daniel, has better skills than Dalhaus and Smith but without their manic contested side. I see him as a cross between Hunter and Daniel. He's not better than them, but he complements them, I'm actually excited to see how this group goes playing together, might surprise a few I reckon.

Funny how differently people can think.

Where u see it as a positive I see it as showing how far our list is off a flag.

Certain players getting games show me how poor the bottom of our list is.

Time will tell who is right or wrong here but I'm happy to admit I give us zero chance this week and in fact think we will get a touch up.

I said we will only won one more game this year and I will stand by that unfortunately we are now playing about 6/7 VFL level players.
