Funny how differently people can think.

Where u see it as a positive I see it as showing how far our list is off a flag.

Certain players getting games show me how poor the bottom of our list is.

Time will tell who is right or wrong here but I'm happy to admit I give us zero chance this week and in fact think we will get a touch up.

I said we will only won one more game this year and I will stand by that unfortunately we are now playing about 6/7 VFL level players.

I think you can put it to rest now, we are basically scraping the bottom of our list, especially in the midfield.

I'd rather someone have a coherent argument. Also I'd prefer they have a more than three round memory too.
Seriously Koby hasn't had a great year...he'd have been top five in our b&f if he hadn't have been injured and rushed back.

Yeah I agree and as you know am astounded at the thought process that junks Stevens but continues to promote Jong.

Yep, started off very well.was a critical piece in our capacity to score. The injury has set him back a fair way in terms of his form, just not getting enough quality touches at the moment.

Jong gets rested on the forward line as he cannot play back he is useless man on man.

Stevens goes to the wing, half back or bench.

There is no rational other than blond moronic bias that an continue to argue this potato should still be playing. The argument he gets to every pack is garbage he only makes the ones that don't move far his work rate to the next contest is poor and ask the blokes who watch footy on here they will back this up.

Hrovat is garbage so don't hold your breath and he wil no doubt get injured agin and kiss another 5 weeks so that's exciting.

Webb I don't mind and at least he hasn't had 6886 chances like the other two.

JONG TO BOG THIS WEEK

That's fair, although he was close to bog a few weeks ago, was disappointing over the last two though.
Considering the injuries I still don't think he's been bad enough to be dropped.

Webb and Hrovat are both types of players the team lacks right now with their ability to lower the eyes and hit targets inside fifty, but I'm not certain that they'll take their chance. Webb needs to be given plenty of midfield time, he's a natural midfielder and playing him back and then forward in his two games didn't work at all.

Happy for Hrovat and Webb to come in, feeling a bit each way with Stevens though. Thought he has struggled a bit of late but would certainly have dropped others before him.

Seriously disappointed that Minson hasn't been selected, and think we have shot ourselves in the foot with team balance once again as a result.

We basically have a team made up mainly with shortish midfielders, 2 part time ruckman, no full time tall forwards, and 4 tallish defenders with the clear intention of playing one or two of them as forwards despite the fact it didn't work last week and neither of them has shown any significant form as forwards in the past.

I was excited about our prospects until the team was named, but looking at it I am struggling to see how we will be able to kick enough goals.

I very much doubt it Mike. Stevens polled in just two games for the Ching before his injury. That's unlikely to equate with "top five in our b&f"

I'm not denying Stevens has played some good footy this year. In fact, he was arguably our best player in two games - vs Brisbane and Gold Coast. Perhaps the Match Committee has factored this in - whilst Stevens has played some goof footy this year, he's played poorly in games where he could have stood up - in losses, or close games, or against top opponents. His last two weeks, both poor performances in losses, shows some of that.

Say what you like about Jong but at least he's played well against good opponents and in bad games. He was good in a bad bunch in that first game against Geelong, and he's played his better games against Sydney and North (first time round this season).

In fact, just comparing the games that Stevens and Jong has played, Jong has played a lot more difficult opponents. 7 of Stevens' 11 games have been against non-finals teams compared to only 5 of 11. That certainly plays a part.

Love these selections. Telling Norf we might be wounded but we won't go conservative. We'll back our kids in to beat them any day.

Not sure if we can match their midfield but if we can, with Morris and Boyd back, they will struggle to kick a score.

How poor the bottom of our list is ?? Cmon mate seriously. You run around here acting like we should have 44 players that should be best 22. Get your head out of it

I know you're grasping at straws when you use the Ching.
Stevens was excellent earlier in the year and has regressed since the ab injury. I'm not touching the Jong comparison as I can't be bothered going over it again.

Dougie your not going to like this rational and I am not saying I agree with the match committee but Jong is one of only 8 players on our team to have kicked 10+ goals this year. He is also averaging about a goal a game, twice what Koby is averaging.

Stats show that we can find the footy, they also show that we are not kicking enough goals. If match committee is saying how do we kick more goals they are not going to pick Koby over Jonga.

On an unrelated note I am bloody excited to see if all of this youth can spark some good footy. There was a lot to like from all of the young blokes last week and no reason Hrovat and Webby won't bring some more good energy.

Go the pups!!!
We still haven't learnt the lesson.. don't bring logic or reason into this argument. Make it emotive and full of FACTS only.

Since Voldemort has written us off, I'm more confident than ever. Historically this seems to work in our favour.

No I said after 27-28 we go downhill dramatically IMO

We have 7-8 blokes at least playing this week that arnt good enough if we want to contend
