At the moment he is the worst of the three AFL players from Bushby street. Naitinui, then Michael Walters then Chris Yarran.

Don't worry, NicNat will text him ..................... then he will be miraculously be back in form.

In some ways another Black Duck from that draft group, Clancee, has gone past him in terms of production.

God there are some sad acts in this thread. Not so much that Yarran is or should be immune to criticism but the desperate joy with which some are piling in to have a crack.
Like a pack of rabid dogs.
Sublimely talented 23 yo footballer has problems with consistency and composure in front of 80,000 people in first game of the year. Get some perspective people and enjoy watching talent like this. Its way more enjoyable.

Deledio was a gun and had won a B&F by the age of 21. They aren't in the same postcode.

Deledio was an inconsistent lair, who would float in and out of games. If Brett thought he did enough, then Brett would go missing for a quarter.

I'm not saying Yarran will end up a better player, but he's still got plenty of time to turn things around and become a very good player.

Dumbest footballer going around, no point having all the speed and skill in the world if you will continually make the wrong decision. This is not based on last night either there are numerous times I have seen him burn off a opponent with his pace only to run into a wall of opponents and turn it over, get tackled or kick it backwards. If only his brain worked as fast as his legs, he is ****ing quick though.

Has a lot of natural talent but still needs to find consistency and improve his attitude. Reckon Mick will help improve him.

After his dubious goal of the year in the same match last year, was a big relief for him to shank that one last night.

You shouldn't speak so soon. I'm looking forward to seeing how Rich goes when he gets tagged week in week out this season. I doubt his form will be anything like that of the NAB cup. The reason why Rich dropped so far in the draft is because he is a plodder of the highest order. Brisbane's midfield is so weak that he'll likely get the tag each week. I doubt he'll have a better season than Yarran tbh, who likely won't be tagged even if he were has the pace to run off. You can't really fault Carlton for picking him in front of Rich given his kicking is almost as good.

Yarran's poor kicking cost Carlton the game when he missed that sitter with a minute left.

And Rich has been getting tagged for 3 years now, nothing new there. Still one of the comps best mids.

He got tagged last year and collected equal most Brownlow votes on our team.

Hawthorn Board...please!

walker had 10 mins of luck in the first quarter, didn't see him for the rest of the game.
Whos Lucas?
Also where was yarran and Garlett in the last quarter.

it doesn't take a big man to give some credit to your opposition, yarran was very good yesterday he really exposed collingwoods lack a pacey defender. he probably fell off in the last quarter as his tank ran out.

If Coll were exposed to small forwards, what were Carlton.

Elliot, Sinclair & Blair kicked 9 goals between them.

Unlike Yarran, they kicked goals when the game was to be won.

You must've been thrilled by the result yesterday, Rohan. Why are you embarrassed to say you are a Collingwood supporter?

Elliott, Sinclair & Blair kicked 9 goals between them & Walker, Yarran & Garlett kicked 9 goals between them. Both teams were exposed by the opposition small forwards. The difference between the 2 teams being your team i.e. Collingwood, getting more goals from the midfield.

Did you not see Garlett's goal, kicked around his body from 50 in the last quarter (the one when he was under pressure from O'Brien)?
