Collingwood's horror 2016 season has shown the club is in complete disarray.

  • Ed's presidency is now no longer tenable,
  • Holden have just announced they are looking to end their sponsorship
  • Buckley needs to be moved on. The team looks totally disorganised
The dominos need to start falling at Collingwood, starting with ed and Nathan.

Only a clean out from the top can stop things getting worse at Collingwood.

I think Eddie is still a top notch president. He is proven, knows his business, and can bounce back. If the chips are down (as they are at Collingwood), you want Eddie in your corner. He operates better when his back is to the wall. Very shrewd operator.

Buckley on the other hand. He isn't proven, is not getting consistent results, and players are clearly disgruntled.

And Holden are pretty much a non factor. The future of Collingwood doesn't hinge on Holden ending their sponsorship.

The big trap Collingwood can get into is doing nothing.

All signs point to a calamity in the near future.

They have a President who is making statements outside what is accepted in the AFL and general community. They have an AFL media willing to laugh it off.

Their draft strategy has been pretty good in the last few years, they have just had bad luck with injuries.

But things can compound and what are the decisions going to be for 2017 given a poor 2016? Will they stick with development? They paid big bucks for Treloar in the hope he would be cream. He might not be cream, he might be part of the pie. In which case the whole footy department need to change tack.

Will they?

So was John Elliot. Then his own ego got the best of him, sticking to the past instead of looking into the future.

they will win this weekend, everything will be fixed for week

That is about the only thing they have mastered this year - loosening the noose for Nathan. But the sooner it is loosened, he finds himself back on the chopping block. It just highlights a lack of consistency. At some stage the playing group are just going to say "Stuff this, we have been here before". I think Collingwood have a top 6 list. They are underachieving massively IMO.

I'm not sure, I'd say North Melbourne are up against it a little more at the moment.

Ageing list, the garbage Brayshaw came out and said about Caroline Wilson, Brad Scott questioning umpires, young player being caught drink driving. Admittedly they've dealt with all these issues prompt and proper, but they shouldn't be happening..

Every club has their issues, they're not able to move on while people are talking about them, but that's what we're here to do.

OP doing it wrong - should have titled it "where are collingwood at?"

To answer they seem to have adopted a plan like richmond's to sell hope to members without having any chance of being a true premiership threat.
