I think we are more a premiership contender needing a couple of role players to get us that flag. I'd rather a flag whilst being in a better position at the draft next year.

You clearly rate our forward line and midfield as strong. I believe they are a work in progress.

Both probably believe the back half is our forte, given Dean has a good year and Howe returns to form after his summer break.

Difficult to fault any of the coaches or players with the application they showed in 2022.

Yeah agreed, but I think with McStay and Bobby then add Mitchell we have the side to win it all next year. I agree we need future forwards, but not next year.

There’s no shortage of ruck cover. Mcstay, Kreuger, Begg, frampton if he lands with us..maybe another development specialist ruck at the draft. Frampton isn’t dependant on Grundy leaving…. He’s just a low priority and we’ll see what late picks we have leftover to land him. Grundy, henry, Mitchell and probably fiorini are bigger priorities. We can always land Frampton as a DFA if we wanted to.

Nope, let's wait until he gets injured for a year and is at his lowest possible value point.

Frampton, the Crows know we pretty much need him now as a key back and ruck replacement, so they can ask for way more than he is worth.

Ok, let's learn from the lessons of the past and not lock ourselves into any long term contracts for anything but absolutely proven, professional and consistent players...5 years for DeGoey and McStay you say? What could go wrong?
