For both sides it would be wise to contract him until 25/24. He will peak value at that time.

Additonally, we are able to stock take then meaning we can see if we value him after 25 years old. Because at 24 out of contract we will get the moon and back.

One thing is I do have faith in this club is player retention. They’ll play the right cards at the right time. A four year extension would be ideal unless of course he wants a 10 year deal.

Don’t need to spend big coin on a mobile ruckman we have one already that’s developing nicely in BBW. English brings nothing to the table that we need for that kind of coin.

If Flynn continues to be injury prone then we need a like for like replacement there.

I still think English is firmly in the Eagles plans going forward and I think he can work well for us .....yeah coin is the issue but we can manage it IMO

Honestly wouldn't be surprised for Rotham to play adequately for the remainder of 2024 and then get cut seemingly from nowhere.


We've got options each year to turn some spots over. Hopefully with Reidsanity taking over the league, we can attract high end FA's like McCluggage or JUH to come get a premiership.

For those playing, while North have 17 1st round picks within the lust we have 7 in Gaff, Sheed, Ginbey, Hewett, Reid, Duggan and Chesser

Does that mean AFL owe us 10 priority picks?

I think they are more likely to take our picks off us and give them direct to norf! We give them all our cash already, so why not.

What would you guys be willing to offer us for Curtin?

Our imbecile coaches seem to think he's a KPD (ie. we drafted him because we missed out on Petty) and he's already looking like a bad fit for where we are at.

I think we would genuinely offer our first as long as we get something decent back. But if his form in sanfl drops badly, I think there is likely to be a stalemate as you would want something close to original value given he is contracted even though his form would not warrant it.

Also why on earth would the Crom be offloading D.Curtin? They gave up their F2 for a 3 pick upgrade in order to select him just 5 months ago.

He will be very important in determining whether Adelaide will need to bottom out entirely.

I suspect all of Zane Trew, Tyrell Dewer and Jordan Baker would be likely gone if that is the case, The fact that Loch Rawlinson has played a Afl game means i think he will get a extension.
I know most are cold on getting Tim English but if we do what does that mean for Bwilliams or Harry Barnett.
I would suspect we would get a good pick for BWilliams considering how he has improved over the last two years.
Am worried about Coby Burgiell. He sounds like he could be something or a bust. Would love to see him play some continuous footy and possible Afl to see how good he is.

We'll ask about his intentions and confirm our desire to have him sign on. We might float an offer.

Down to Reid & his management to figure out a) if he wants to commit this early and b) what contract length would be in his best interests (short or long).

Wild thing is after 6 games, Reid could almost write his own terms. However long for however much.

Mostly agree but I’d cut deeper. Delist- Rotham, LEdwards, HEdwards, Jones, Gaff, Witherden, Trew, Baker.

Above assumes we get Busslinger and there’s no Cat B rookie we’ve got our eye on so Dewar stays. I would consider re-rookie HEdwards if we we don’t get Busslinger.
