I remember this guy in his draft year. Good foot skills out of the backline is definitely a need and fits in the age bracket we're lacking. Sounds most likely to go to one of the SA clubs though

A running mate for Witherden, who he can keep up with.

I think most of our umming and ahing here comes from the fact this is clarkes first chance to pick someone here pieman was pretty basic

The west reporting we have spoken with Ajang Kuol mun from Geelongs VFL. No idea on them at all.
206cm ruck, and would be a great story.

I reckon if we pick him the club thinks either BWilliams or Barnett will be out the door by the end of the year.

I hear this lad is linked to you guys

Dashing defender Luke Beecken is a strong chance to have his name called out tonight at the mid season draft. Pace to burn and an excellent, penetrating and creative left foot kick are both attributes tailor made for the modern game.

Kleenex reported a sharp spike in sales in WA since the release of this video

Ruscoe looks like someone we need to plug n' play right now in the backline.
But Beeken looks alright too.
We have a bunch of forwards and mids coming through, you could say there's a gap in the backline for a pacey attacking player.
Given the MSD is leftovers, do we need to pick up an MSD, or wait till the main draft for top end quality? (asking for a friend )

There was a session with schoey and Simmo a week or so ago where Simmo made the point that the MSD was taking essentially the last players from the previous draft.

Reckon he was tempering expectations for when we inevitably take Ruscoe instead of scouting best available talent across the whole group.

Based on nothing but a vibe I think Trey Ruscoe will be on our senior list in about 5 hours time

I’m torn. I’d rather take a punt on one of the top young prospects in the pool (even though it’s a shallow pool, we still get third crack at it), but I don’t want to lose Ruscoe from our WAFL side.

Even if we’d opened up a second list spot there’s no guarantee he’d last that long with clubs like Brisbane needing plug and play players. But taking him at pick 3 over a Hall or a Hutchinson seems like a waste.

So in conclusion, I’m torn.
