We are gathering a bevy of Jacks. Have to get creative with nick names.

We are also gathering a bunch of kids from country Victoria - Chesser, Long, both Reids, Johnston, Maric, Burgiel and Culley off the top of my head

So we picked up Hutchinson and keep Ruscoe? Sounds like a pretty bloody good outcome to me.

Hopefully we upgrade Ruscoe at the end of the year, he deserves to be on a list.

Begs the question why Ruscoe nominated at all. I'm guessing it was at our request given he did it late. Maybe just a back up strategy if we were genuinely underwhelmed with the talent pool if we missed Hutch? Didn't want to get stuck with noone.

National Recruiting Manager Duane Massey says: “Jack is playing as a 190cm forward, can really mark it, has got really good speed and is very compliant in the Collingwood system. We’re scoping that he could play wing and maybe even across half-back, so we think he’s got flexibility in his game to play a few different roles. We really like his talent.”
Have to say this comment really pi**ed me off when Hopkins and Beecken were available. Instead we’re going to try and turn a 22yo HFF with a good mark into a HBF!?

I don't know what to think anymore given we don't draft HBFers and try to turn them into midfielders . This recruitment guy is going backwards, from HFF to midfield to HBF. reminds me of that red dwarf episode for some reason.

They must really rate him as a talent mate. Very high ceiling perhaps?

I don't mind it as he's shown exponential grown in a very short time of being in a half decent system.

I'd love to know more about his speed (looks pretty quick), endurance, kicking ect.

I'll back the draft team in but we are screaming out for a quality HBF.

Just hope it all points towards us drafting Travaglia at the end of the year.

Better than drafting HBF trying to turn into mids

I’m thinking Hutchinson could also play the wing role, depending on endurance

The mid season draft is about plugging holes in the list. If his talent was crazy he would have been picked up in the previous four years.

The success rate out of mid season drafts is <5 out of 100 players picked lol.

You're arguing 2 different things

If youre simply just bagging the talent available in the MSD, how the hell does it not make sense to just grab the guy we think has the most talent, regardless of position?
