Yes I think they’d want more but I wouldn’t be upset if our first was part of the deal for him, chuck in Baz with it they like our ruckman.

No player in the history of the game has been traded for pick 2 or 3 and a future first almost guaranteed to be a top 4 pick lol.

Offer our first and a future 2nd for Warner but you can’t offer both firsts unless you’re getting a first back.

And why would we give up pick 2 for him? Was a terrible idea last year and is even worse now, we need to pick another elite mid at 2

Literally. We desperately need another young stud mid next to Number 9. We'll probably end up trading down and getting a couple vanilla who are good at some but masters of none.

Well Judd was traded for pick 3, 20 and a recent top 4 pick. Fairly close

Not too bothered this year. If we take a Finn O’Sullivan great. If we get a solid midfielder and travaglia great.

I wouldnt care if we bid on Lombard at 2 just to keep Gold Coast honest.

Our team is so desperate for base level footballers who can actually run out an afl game well improve unless we completely whiff.

Would like a bit more currency in the 2-3 round but not sure where that comes from.

If we want him while in contract, this would be the price I'd say

The more the year progresses, the more I am in the FOS train (assuming we don’t finish last)

He has a lot of the traits I think that will balance out our current mids well. Can mark overhead- can get ball on inside and outside and although may not have the ceiling of others I suspect we would be able to plug him in round 1 off a wing or half back.

Luke Trainor is another I am also hopeful for, I’d love to him to have a year with Gov as an apprenticeship- but Busslinger would also be a good get.

Watching Liam Baker the other night - i think he would provide an excellent chop out in the midfleld
Disposal is tidy, he can kick a goal, and is actually not bad as an inside mid either.
Many have him pigeon-holed as a HBF but he can def rotate through the midfield.

Would pay a second rounder or late first rounder for him.

Where do we get the currency though? We want to draft another elite mid, so we have to put someone up for trade...

I thought Sheed was absolutley brilliant tonight. No idea where the hate is coming from.

Pure heart, skill and played with a real gusto.

If you call him getting it and booting it long in panic as “brilliant”, then sure.

We lack runners and sheed and gaff as runners is a laugh. Expect both to be out of the side soon.

Only role Simmo has for him now is as tagger.

Firstly, apologies for the intrusion, great game yesterday wasn't:cool:.

Enough of the boasting, what's the opinion on Bo Allan? I've only seen his rd 6 highlights for in your Colts league but what l saw from a kid who was supposed to be a back leading into his draft year, was pure WOW...to the point that if North wanted a big bodied mid other than Smillie.
Question, is he totally left sided?

What would B Williams fetch us in trade season? Any club desperately want a ruck and would give up a pick in the 20s?

I think he's behind others for the forward line and he's an awkward age for a second ruck.
Clubs just don't pay up for rucks, unless they are at the very top tier of the competition. Grundy went for a future second round pick & pick 46. And that second round pick is currently pick 38.

Do you think grundys age had something to do with it and him being an obvious salary dump?

I don't even like him in the tagger role TBH. Alas, I think the game has passed him by.
For me, if he's playing. Maybe HFF utilising that left foot.

Conversely Grundy is 30 and cannot really play any position other than ruck, albeit still a very good one.

Williams may have some value as a forward/ruck with untapped potential as a forward.
I think both Sydney and Adelaide both made comments on his competitiveness last year too.

All in the eye of the beholder I suppose and would have some value as part of a package.

(FWIW - I'm one of the few won here that want to see him get an extended run forward. I think he'll surprise a few)

Of course, but Williams isn't talked about as a potential starting ruck, even here. He's a reserve ruck in case of injury, or plays as a ruck forward if there's an injury up forward.

There's been plenty of other posters here discuss other young, developing rucks on other teams lists as a potential trade target for West Coast. Think it was Nick Bryan from Essendon that was being discussed recently here. Then it was Conway or Edwards at Geelong being discussed, then Knobel at Freo.

The fact that so many posters here are discussing developing rucks at other clubs, clearly signals that Williams isn't rated here, and as such really doesn't hold much trade value.

Similar to Kalin Lane at the Lions. He's shown a fair bit this year at VFL level, but he's fourth in line at the club, out of contract this year, and we have a list squeeze coming this year, so he's a likely delisting candidate.

BTW, we're already talking about trading both Dev and Tunstill back to WA this trade period on our board.

I’m not saying this years first and next years, I was agreeing that Sydney would want more than our first this year. I would give up a player like Williams don’t think he’s much of a forward, kept getting in the way.
