Is it worth just letting Rioli go without too much fuss in case future Riolis dont have issues with the club?

I can see them bypassing us if they feel like Willie is treated poorly.

Wait...how has he been treated poorly?

Mayte, nics gonna have a heap of soft tissue injuries trying to lose that baby weight. Ample opportunity for up tha coasters to cement his spot.

Why would Lycett want to relocate back here just to wait for opportunities to cement his spot?

Dog move by port to slide into rioli's DM's when wce didnt pile on pressure to re-sign given recent personal tragedies.

the clubs supported him during his drug stupidity, footing the legal bill.

But he will be 28 next year, an icing on the cake guy not one to drive standards at the club.

if we could get something decent for rioli (and ryan) i'd take it.

Phillapou ranking now at 11 and Busslinger 13. The Pou with an ankle injury slowing his form and others passing Busslinger out with the shoulder.

Issac Keeler now 29 and Darcy Jones 30.

Oli Hotton 21 and Skybcowski 23 also sliding.
Highly doubt these rankings mean much but if they hold any resemblance to what comes out on draft day then trading pick 2 for 2 x first rounders suddenly has so much more appeal to it knowing we could potentially get Phillipou and Busslinger…. Probably wishful thinking on my belhalf

What I want to know is who has put the lure out for Rotham. Surely he will come out and state he wants a move to a club with loads of second round picks. Now I hear the Suns have those picks and are looking for a hybrid defender that can play on bigs and smalls and is quick (how much faster can you be than to be the reigning FG Sprint Champion). The Suns have 2 HBFers that are likely to miss with ACL problems so why not Josh?

Surely Rotham worths **** all. I genuinely can't recall his last good game and even when he was good he was showing more glimpses than putting solid games together

I don’t think he’s understood my point.

Everyone will be aware Brisbane’s pick 13 is available and basically has to be traded.

Other teams will be offering them deals that will get them additional points, because the points are more valuable to Brisbane and less valuable to the other team.

And he’s proposing we offer Brisbane a deal that results in them losing points. What’s the incentive for them to take it? Other than the fact that they’re not losing as many points as they could be?

Make it 13 (1212) for 20+26 (1641) and it’s more likely to get across the line. But then the question is whether the 7-pick upgrade is worth it for us.
I don't think it is in this draft unless there is a big slider we rate. Live trading FWIW.

At this time of year Twomey isn't worth listening to, has NFI. Only has relevance a week out from the draft. Phillipou might be out with a minor ankle but it's his back that is the major injury concern.

Busslinger hasn't dropped off of anyone's radar unless there's any truth the the 6 and DGB for pick 2 rumour which I think is fanciful.

In saying that with DGB I think we could play Barrass, McGovern, Bazzo and DGB. The last two can play smaller than they are and have great agility. We would need to play a genuine seven man defence though and the 3 smalls would need to be very, very good. One thing it would mean is there's no room for Hurn in our backline. DGB and Bazzo have him covered for speed and agility. However of those 4 taller players Bazzo, DGB and Mcgovern are very good kicks and Barrass is no mug either. So really it's just about a true lockdown small and 2 run and carry players.

He's usually on the money or around about

I wouldve thought after the s**t Willie's put the club through he would've signed ASAP if he was a good bloke

Good bloke this is his last contract ever.

Don't kid yourself. Imagine playing football at professional level and only earning 400k.

So we are happy to concede we will not win a flag in 5 years?

Because he's a cheery on top player.

Op made a great point we did not keep him out of pity we kept him because he was good. If he was a rookie he would have been delisted. Not the victims neither is willie

He starts getting closer and closer 2-3 weeks out and as he is fed information and has contacts inside clubs. This far out he is ****ing useless. Has almost no eye for talent other than what he is seeing right there and certainly not in regards to player projection at AFL level, varied levels of development due to age, size and weight at junior level etc. etc.

It's like Knightmare's obsession with champion data rankings.

"Big slider..."

"High ceiling.."

"Vanilla.."

"Half back flanker.."

"Inside bull.."

"Fold the club.."

Draft season is here boiz, let's get pumped

We gave Willie a start in the AFL, supported him through his drug suspension and didn't sack him after he was brainless enough to try and smuggle weed through an airport

I get that this is a business, but If he leaves us now he has done us dirty
Well ports is giving him free money here.

Wce better not string this crap along does all parties bad.
