We happy to offer our second rounder from next year for one of those picks, given we have Ports second rounder next year?

We need to start bringing forward our draft picks to accelerate our rebuild before the Tassie team smashes the drafts.

So our F2nd for 17 sounds OK.

Next year we trade our 2024 F1st for say Gold Coasts 2023 1st. Depending what the Sun's 2023 1st is of course.

Keep doing that up until the Tassie teams 1st draft and following drafts that will be severely compromised.

We need to get as much talent on our list before those compromised drafts gut all the top end talent.

We may have bottomed out at a pretty good time actually.

We’ve only got the ability to take four early picks if we’re keeping that late pick to match a bid on Dewar, pick up a slider or generally hedge our bets.

So trading for 14 or 17 is effectively only upgrading pick 26.

Keep that in mind.

Hey Monocle - fivey is trying to take over your mantle. Typical Black Duck supporter

Rip and Floyd are on to it, not sure how many strings will be left intact on the guitar, I suspect less than five, we all know how much both hate the guitar player.

Optus holds a few, come west lad.! Fair to say we won't get him though.View attachment 1560361

Dewar and Baker we should roll the dice and pick up one or both as Cat B rookies.

The 'experts' believe there likely will only be 62ish picks this main draft.

If we miss out then too bad. I'd rather bring in another quality 1st round ranked player instead of using thst main list spot on a speculative NGA Cat B type player.

Who Dares Wins

Which would be great if it doesn’t cost us too much and there is a Jefferson or a Hewitt or a busslinger on the table. Of course would all depend how things look prior to pick 13 on draft night.

Trade pick 26 for a future 2nd and find something for Sydney.

Dare I say it but freo might be happy to jump up the board this year they have 3 future 2nds.

Live trades Pick 26 to Freo for Bulldogs future 2nd which freo holds.

We swap 12 and Bulldogs future 2nd, maybe a future 3rd if needed for 14 & 17.

8,14,17,20

Might be one of McKenzie/Clarke/Ginbey , Jefferson/Busslinger , Hewitt/Allan and Barnett/Keeler.

I’d be happy with that.

Could even potentially if things fell right end up with Ginbey,Buss,Allan and Hewitt best 4 WA boys for those that like local talent.
Not sure where you’re getting Freo’s future picks from. They have Norths F2 and F3 plus Carlton’s F3

Can’t trade the F2 unless they get one back and can only trade one of the F3 picks

Yep. I think you'll find it's fairly universal on here that Mckenzie would be a good get. Not many knocks on his game from anyone.

Balanced, inside and out, big bodied, hits the scoreboard, previous history playing half back :whitecheck:
For a guy who had ha the maximum development pathways already:
Inside game is a worry, doesn't tackle, link up play is a worry, low production as a full time mid, doesn't kick many goals.

Herald Sun just dropped their final phantom if anyone has access

Don’t have access to the article but listening to the podcast:

-Hewett is likely to slide to back end of first or early second due to behavioural concerns, with GWS interested (I still believe Eagles are a strong chance to take him at 12 FWIW)
-Sydney interested in Barnett in the first round
-Eagles expected to take Kaleb Smith and Darcy Jones in the second round
-Tsatas has flipped as the leading contender for bombers first pick, over Phillipou, after the training session at Gosher’s paddock (apparently tore it apart)
-Eagles may bid on Alwyn Davey

Package them both to get 10-12. Would guarantee us Hewett + Allan or one of the talls.

Sounds like the Swans are just putting out feelers for teams that are happy to give away a decent package of picks

But if our F2 gets it done I reckon take it. Get an extra year of development into a prospect we rate instead of waiting for a “better” draft. Could well end up being better but there were projected first rounders from this draft that disappeared into oblivion

Must’ve been a hell of a training session!

Zero hanger site but yeah looks wrong.
They have them holding Hawks, Dogs and Nth compensation pick all round 2.

I’ll delete that post looks like I’ve got the wrong info 👍🏻

Link to Herald Sun phantom draft is below

2022 Media Draft Rankings & Phantom Drafts

Has us taking Ginbey, Mackenzie, Jones and Smith.

I’d be stoked if Mackenzie fell to our second pick.
