Right i'm back, im half awake, happy to answer any questions. Carlton went against my recommendation on Binns. I still don't rate Ginbey's production or kicking.

I'm not leaving Caves road i think for 3-4 days unless its to go to the yallingup bakery and grab a jam and cream donut.
It's 5 years down the track and you have to do a redraft, where do you think Oliver Hollands is getting taken?

What's you take on Noah Long and did you expect Oli Hotton to go so late?

I think you're spot on about Phoenix Foster.

The private school route…. I wonder what the percentage of the top say 80 draftees are at private schools?
I’d imagine it’s fairly high due to scholarships being handed out and parents knowing it’s good pathway for there talented child?

Lots of info there I don’t know enough about a lot of these schools to know if they are private or not.

I believe all of the above are private (hence the price tag) except

Catholic Education System - Vic
Assumption College
St Patrick’s College

Government Schools
Lowana in Moe
Henley in Adelaide

If the mods on here are elite (Dump thread haha good one gaiz), I'd love to see the bloke who runs the Fold Coast forum.
A bloke?

Mate it’s 2022

Eat some humble pie

My Intel was correct it looks like. As suggested by me eagles split picks and got 2 west Aussies. When I suggested this would happen months ago before the media reported it, many on here called BS said I was a liar. I also said eagles would never select phillipou based on my Intel. Also correct. I predicted west Aussies with pick slide so I was spot on. To my critics how do those lemons taste 😆 🤣 😂 😹 . It's nice to be validated when people have called you out and you prove them dead wrong. The so called experts on the forum are not as smart as they think they are. I have a reliable source of Intel within the eagles club whether the big egos here like it or not. Eat humble pie 🥧
Not one to gloat myself!

Phil ya legend…

Is Broadbent just no good? From potential 1st round to undrafted.

Also do you believe Kinnear? From my uneducated view, the bids were just made to buy more time (instead of actively wanting the players)

Not quite tall enough, has barely developed in 2 years and not very athletic. Injury history this year. His mum still expected him to be drafted first round. I had to have a quiet chat to my aunt to let her know it was highly unlikely he would be drafted this year.

As a country kid from WA he needs to focus hard on the WAFL and really apply himself and he is a good chance of being picked up in 2-3 years time. He gets a lot more ball around the ground and is a good kick so has more going for him than say a Scott Jones. It's now all on him.

Even with all that I had him as second best on ground for the Academy side vs Collingwood VFL.

Carlton went against your recommendation on Binns because you don't work for Carlton. And if you did you'd be sacked for leaking all this Intel online and being unprofessional.

Just so you know in a few months i'll be having a 6 week course of stem cell treatments in my back and neck and after that i'll be living right by a nice little beach in SE asia managing my investments there. I don't care anymore. If I had of wanted it I had a full time offer on the table to live in Melbourne and work for Carlton next year.

I can go back to just being a supporter after 2 years being involved with clubs and yes im sure my name will likely be a dirty word. It certainly already is at West Coast..

Here is the table Lore keeps updated during the year. It shows the picks as being in the 2022 finishing position.

I also keep a table - it helps me during the trade and draft period as to who has what. It also helps as I am a more visual learner.

I have included a before draft day and after draft day. Not a huge amount of trading but the big one was Sydney ripping off the Hawks.

Holding all our own picks and Port's R2 and R3 in 2023, we will be a strong players at the 2023 draft (assuming we don't trade).

My scenario is that we finish in the bottom 6 and Port scrape into the finals. Assuming that is 13th for us and 8th for Port, we would have picks 6, 24, 29, 42, 47, 60 and 78.

Packaging Port's R2 and R3 plus our R3 and R4, we would have enough points to buy pick 9. (these are rough numbers and yes there will be a R1 premium)

I like the top end for 2023 and would happily buy the Suns R1 PLUS look to sell our 2024 R1 and get another mid teens pick from one of Lions, Sydney, Melbourne and most likely GWS who will all have multiple R1 picks.

2023 draft - picks 6, 9, 15 and 24. That would give us 3 massive drafts in 3 years and bring about a fast and clean rebuild. loads of good tall prospects in the 2023 draft as it currently looks. This haul could get us Curtain (CHF), Edwards (Ruck), Thorstup (HFF) and Harding (Wing) as local examples.

Langdon well and truly hit his ceiling and wasn't afl quality
The ceiling must have been <40m if Legs managed to hit it.

Was it you alluding to Lemmey’s issues pre-draft and the need to stay in Adelaide? If so were you feeding the noise to further his slide or did the talent just outweigh the risk too much at that pick?

Also do BF members get to drink free at your Filipino establishment?

quiet tim and eric GIF
Highly doubt you'd have the guts to do that for real mate

These 4 are public schools as well I think:

12. Brisbane – Jaspa Fletcher
Brisbane Lions Academy – Sherwood – Brisbane State High School

25. Essendon – Lewis Hayes
Eastern Ranges – Lysterfield – Rowville Secondary College

37. Hawthorn – Henry Hustwaite
Dandenong Stingrays – Rosebud — Rosebud Secondary College

40. Sydney – Caleb Mitchell
Murray Bushrangers – Yarrawonga Secondary College – Yarrawonga

With Brisbane State HS having a select entry policy (academic, music or sport proficiency will get you in) - so essentially private
Rowville I know used to have a footy pathway program - not sure if that is still running

Certainly fair to say no-one in the top-25 was from a general entry public school, and possibly no-one in the top 35 (as above, not 100% sure on Rowville).
