The phone call before the pick is announced is very much an NFL draft thing.

Coach calls the kid and tells them they are getting drafted. Most times the kid on the phone is overly polite, with a thank you Sir type comment, then celebrate like crazy when officially announced.

Think of it like taking a mark on the goal line. You’ve done all the hard work and you know you’re gonna score, but you don’t go crazy until you kicked it through the big sticks

That video was not real. There is no Elijah Hewett and that whole production was a fake. Someone called Rhett Bazzo??!! Please. Hewett died in tragic water-throwing accident back in 2021. I know the big egos here won't like to hear it.

My Doctor was correct it looks like. As suggested by me I got 2 doses of Novavax. When I suggested this would happen months ago before the media reported it, many on here called BS said I was a liar. I also said I would never take Pfizer or Moderna. Also correct. I predicted a work related injury so I was spot on. To my critics how do those lemons taste . It's nice to be validated when suffering from a medical condition that I wish to keep strictly private. The so called experts in the scientific community are not as smart as they think they are. I intend to return back to training as soon as I am fit and able. Eat humble pie

Because I don't feel he is a natural footballer and defensively is not great. The new kids are more natu re al footballers, can defend and also have his pace.

Holding all our own picks and Port's R2 and R3 in 2023, we will be a strong players at the 2023 draft (assuming we don't trade).

My scenario is that we finish in the bottom 6 and Port scrape into the finals. Assuming that is 13th for us and 8th for Port, we would have picks 6, 24, 29, 42, 47, 60 and 78.

Packaging Port's R2 and R3 plus our R3 and R4, we would have enough points to buy pick 9. (these are rough numbers and yes there will be a R1 premium)

I like the top end for 2023 and would happily buy the Suns R1 PLUS look to sell our 2024 R1 and get another mid teens pick from one of Lions, Sydney, Melbourne and most likely GWS who will all have multiple R1 picks.

2023 draft - picks 6, 9, 15 and 24. That would give us 3 massive drafts in 3 years and bring about a fast and clean rebuild. loads of good tall prospects in the 2023 draft as it currently looks. This haul could get us Curtain (CHF), Edwards (Ruck), Thorstup (HFF) and Harding (Wing) as local examples.

Like your thinking but it’s so far out it’s hard to get your head around it. I’d say at this stage every club will be looking at ways to secure the Suns first rnd pick.

More likely we get involved in a trade again to try and position ourselves in the draft again.

Curtin, Edwards, Tholstrup and Hardeman at this early stage are the WA big names so I’m sure unless we have the spoon and it’s Reid we will look to position ourselves for some of them.

Wouldn’t give up our 2024 pick to cheaply either especially if we spend a few years down the bottom, would not like to give a top 5 pick for a pick in the teens. A top 5 prospect in 2024 is probably a better option than say pick 15 in 2023 even if it’s a strong draft.

Pretty confident in Rob and the team from what they have done this year we will position ourselves well.
