I see our next position of need as a good KPF forward.

We've got Allan
Darling's 30 and shorter then half our midfield now (1.91m).
Waterman whos the same height as Darling and after 70 odd games still hasn't cemeted a position.
BWilliams who can't kick a set shot
JWilliams still an unknown and not ready

I was trying to think of any WA key forwards we could entice home. Can only really come up with 3

So theres 3 pretty good key forwards coming out of contract in 2024. They are all the right age profile for us and it will coincide with the finishing of some big Eagles contracts in Gaff and McGovern. We'll have plenty of cap space so surely we are already talking to these guys, getting in there ear about coming home.

Alas, this year I hoped things would be different, that Barnett would be a Swan. He was lined up, we had two picks to grab him and fluffed the lines. Well played West Coast. I'll watch him with interest.

I do love Withnail and I, so the trip across the Tech Nullarbor wasn't entirely fruitless. I wonder if Richard E. Grant can ruck?

Georgiades isn’t the type of key forward we need imo, I think Naughton will be a Dog for a long time unfortunately, but I do believe we will be a big chance to land Logan McDonald, next years draft also has some good talls, but obviously you can’t bank on that (e.g. Lemmey)

Yep think the club will be watching Curtin and Archer Reid very closely

If we plan on drafting a KPF we probably have to wait 3 or 4 years for them to be ready. I think it might be a bit more urgent then that. Darling has a couple of years left and any injuries leaves us pretty bare. Would hope were trying to bring one in as well.

Not disagreeing that McDonald would be a good fit on our list but at what cost draft wise.
I’d rather we keep our picks over the next 2-3 years and use free agency as the way to plug holes.
