I would be very, very keen to know why D'Aloia in particular wasn't selected

Huge wraps from just about everyone i have spoken to with links to South Australian football. Great leader, great kid, very coachable, trains like a demon and didn't he get best on for South Australia in the national carnival? (If i have got that part wrong, apologies)

No visible weak links from what i have been told, save for the fact that he isn't super fleet of foot.

WCE_phil any insights?
I recall a couple of years ago SA had another player with exactly the same credentials (including think captain of their carnival team) who didn't get selected. If you don't meet the minimum requirement for speed especially you just won't make it at AFL level unless you have some absurd other skills.

I absolutely understand why speed is a requirement tactically and I love that our club has prioritised it in the draft (without seemingly neglecting the ability to contest).

But I did always respect the players like Sam Mitchell, Priddis, Robert Harvey, my dad talks a lot about Diesel Williams etc. The ones that overcame such a glaring lack of advantage in one area by being exceptional ball handlers/usually great at handpassing etc. The definition of footballers who are the polar opposite of athletes.

Do feel a bit nostalgic/sad that that sort of player is seemingly a relic of the past!

Perhaps it's cause I'm also slow as shit so -

(ignoring the facts that I'm in my mid 20s, am mediocre at ammos level and have other glaring deficiencies as a player like a beer gut)

Now I really have to face that I'll never get drafted! :'(

He's like a Magic 8-ball... 'all signs point to maybe'. Which means really likes to play things close to his chest or he's playing a very long con that has suckered in a lot of people.

No offence to him but has he actually ever said any inside info that has been verified? Seems they everyone just accepts his obscure responses as him not wanting to disclose anything but not sure I’ve ever seen anything of substance at all.

More than happy to be proved wrong!

Luke Valente, although he got picked up, also seemed in a similar mould.

Doesn't stop a few posters crushing on him.
Tagging BOND 007 with inane questions like "if we train hard, will we improve? I'd love to know what the club thinks"

I think the answer is that without pace of some sort only Sam Mitchell, Priddis, Robert Harvey, and Diesel Williams did well. Freaks.

We had the best intel you could ask for in old mate WestCoast 88 but you guys all chased him off he was right on everything. He kept telling you all and no one listened.

My Intel was correct it looks like. As suggested by me eagles split picks and got 2 west Aussies. When I suggested this would happen months ago before the media reported it, many on here called BS said I was a liar. I also said eagles would never select phillipou based on my Intel. Also correct. I predicted west Aussies with pick slide so I was spot on. To my critics how do those lemons taste 😆 🤣 😂 😹 . It's nice to be validated when people have called you out and you prove them dead wrong. The so called experts on the forum are not as smart as they think they are. I have a reliable source of Intel within the eagles club whether the big egos here like it or not. Eat humble pie 🥧
I rest my case

That’s Jordyn Baker looks tall and a good size when he fills out ..

Barnett looks only 10cm taller than Ginbey..

Ginbey 188cm's...

Barnett wearing birkenstocks though...

"Hey google, what is the heel on a birkenstock..." 2.2cm apparently, ok cool...

Ginbey with the old white Nike's, better add 1cm for that..

What about Tunbridges tackle in 2017..

Hewett got nice calves...

Barnett 199cm. Confirmed, fold the club.

That's odd. You normally find a way to make things sound bigger than they are 🤗😆

The West Coast Eagles have been made aware of an incident in Geelong after the AFL/AFLPA Indigenous and Multicultural Players Summit on the weekend involving player Isiah Winder.

The AFL have been informed of the alleged incident and as this matter is currently under investigation by Victoria Police we are unable to make any further comment.

The Club will fully cooperate with Victoria Police and provide support to Isiah through the investigation.

I wonder if this will affect his contract if charged?

Karma for not taking Gilbey imho

Depending on how serious it is, sack Winder and take Gilbey as a supplementary selection before the season

Only IF what he's done is deserving of being sacked however. Innocent until proven guilty.
