So 102 games meaning we get to father son/daughter his offspring.
If his bedroom game is anything like his on field game he will struggle to hit the target...

Thanks Jackson Nelson, 100 games as a pick in the 50s is a bloody good effort. Better than Willie. Really hope you don't read Facebook or BigFooty mate, all the best.

Thanks too Dixon for running out in the blue and gold, Eagle for life. And Joyce, I don't know why you were here but thanks anyway. Hope we didn't **** your body up any worse than it already was.

Any player that notches up 100 AFL games is a good player, Nelson was by no means a best 22 but he stayed and fought it out each week for selection.

Thanks Jackson Nelson for your time and commitment at West Coast. 👍👍👍👍

Joyce and Dixon were very brief inclusions as back ups in what can only be described as a anomaly year.

All the best to all there in the next chapters of their footballing journeys.

The three have done something that most of us never have ……and that’s having been good enough footballers to get onto an AFL List. 👏👏👏👏👏

So the question marks are only there for Winder and Witherdon on the senior list and Trew, West and Naish on the rookie list.

And of course Rioli and his trade request.

List size now down to 40 of which 4 are rookies (Culley, Trew, West and Naish) hence 36 on the senior list. If we are taking 2, 20, 26 and 38 to the draft, we will need to move on 2 from the senior list. Out of contract are Rioli, Winder and Witherden.

If we go for a future 2nd with Port, they might keep Winder.

Not looking good for Witherden. Especially since Hurn is playing on.

We could always delist either Winder/Winderden and re-rookie them.

I am struggling to see a world where Trew stays. Likewise Naish. I can see us keeping West but I think it is a mistake.

Nelson was very much an unfairly maligned player. Was a solid foot soldier who was never quite able to cement himself in the best 22 but did give his all when called upon

102 games for a pick in the 50’s is a pretty good return and there’s plenty of more talented players who have achieved less.

Nelson always tried hard, had a very low ceiling due to foot skills and general game speed, but never shirked the contest and even proved a half useful tagger at times. 100+ games from pick 51 is a nice return.

Never understood how he became the scapegoat on here given the people who bagged him also often cried out for more hard nosed, dickhead players with an edge on the team.

Good luck to him. Perfectly correct choice to not offer him a new deal, but Nelson was hardly the anchor dragging us down. Plenty of clubs could do worse than Nelson in that 25-30th best player group, eg emergency or just outside.

Cheers Jacko.

The end of an era. There'll never be another number 30 like him ever again :'(

Dont know about that… since Matera left the 30 has been had by some pretty average players… not unlike the number 24 …

Anyway a positive step in the right direction…. Only about 12 to go now

A goal a game in the WAFL league over 11 games is not great for a player in his second season in the system

It would be a pass for me

Still higher WAFL stats than Jack Williams our prospective KPF at .9 and our favourite small fwd Zac Langdon @ .5 in the WAFL.

Western is worth a rookie spot given he is twice as good as Langdon and kicks 10x as far.

I'd wait and give him a train on option.

Agree with you on Zac

Williams will require patience. He has just added 2 or 3 cm and looks like his feet are not yet back in sink with the rest of his body. He is project.

Nelson isnt nearly as bad as made out by the numpties on here, tried his best. If only our higher profile players put in as much.effort as him in the last few years
Joyce was a no brainer, who knows if he gets his body right he might get another crack at it
Dixon..i liked his work earlier in the year and thought maybe with another preseason under his belt he couldve been a good contributor. If Bwilliams hadn't been re-signed we probably wouldve kept him.i think theres a good chance he could've turned out better than williams

Also it would help Williams stats enormously, if the Beagles were actually able to get the ball into the forward line to him.

Liking the way Stocks chooses to announce the list changes - pick a day when the AFL community is ensconced in a sh1tshow with Hawthorn dirty linen being exposed.

Since early this week on the Hawks board they were told some good news was about to break.

They have all been waiting patiently.

I dont think todays news was it:$:drunk:
