That is pretty meh - doubly so with Rioli factored in.

Their spine is decent enough to keep them from being a bottom team, I think they’ll end up with pick 9-13

8 and say 12 for 2 is a fair deal, especially with next years draft being great

But we need to get something more for Rioli

Port legitimately might have the worst spine in the league, would say only GWS (Taylor is a freak though) and Essendon could be considered definitely worse.

It's not like fox hasn't got details wrong before. I can see it working with Norths future first.

If it's Ports future first, it's essentially pick 2 AND Rioli for 8 and a pick in the mid teens next year. That does not work for us at all.

They must have it wrong. It must be North's future first.

Port's future first is an insane deal. They're very unpredictable and probably have the widest finishing range of any club in 2023, but they are a pretty decent chance to rise back up and finish top four.

North are bottom four next year, at best.

The stupid thing is there is a very viable option for Rioli - pick 33. It's pretty much bang on value. What impetus is there for us to even give the slightest shit about JHF getting to Port? Especially if we are tying a pick to Port Adelaide, this only going to improve them in 2023.

Why would Rioli even need to be involved in a trade 2 for 8 & Port's future 1st???
If anything it needs to be separate to this or include a player or their future 2nd (if allowed) to make it worth us losing pick 2 and them getting Rioli.

People forgetting Port made prelims in 2020 and 2021, they are more than capable of bouncing back next season by adding Rioli and JHF

Yeah good point, but both teams are getting pretty bent by Port. I don't understand why they are letting it happen.

If North's future 1st is part of the deal I will buy his ticket and take care of the marijuana trail for Junior to follow to the airport.

AsterixTheGaul's three way makes more sense for North and us but I wonder if Port would accept having no picks until very late. Maybe this is Ken Hinkley's do or die trade window.

Humphrey and Phillipou have the two highest ceilings in the draft, one of them will be there at pick 8.

It'll be Hewett or Busslinger if we do this trade.

If they throw in 33 I'd be okay with this trade
