I want Winder back, fills a need as a damaging outside midfielder with finishing skills. Give him a rocket, tell him to build his tank or its career over.

Trew we don't need, it's also hard to see Ledwards making the cut given the inclusions, won't pass judgement yet given 2022.

GWS turned pick 21 and a future 2nd into Harry Rowston. That's club folding levels of incompetence.
They really have a shit situation. They lose so many draftees to go home factor that they can't really afford to not match a local kid from their academy.

Was a dog move by Sydney. It has started a shit fight over the next few drafts I recon .

I totally agree keep Winder only as a mid, thank god he is using a personal trainer penny may have dropped,
Get rid of Trew he is another that is unfit
I also think Edwards is delisted end of next year along with Connor West

I'm really not sure we should redraft Winder or Trew. They're both midfielders, and we now have better on our list. I'd draft for needs - whichever we still need out of a ruck, small forward or lockdown defender.
Definitely not Trew but Winder is a chance if there's no better option at our 2nd rookie pick.
Never heard of him until he was mentioned on here but I like Steely Green despite his small size.
Really loves the hard stuff and captained WA in the win vs SA.
Also spent the year playing league and reserves including a league game with 31 touches & 7 tackles.
Hopefully he will safely last to the rookie draft.
I liked his interview with LJ too. Was once struck by lightning and became an electrician. Says he loves leaving the game with bruises.

Apologies if this has been posted already (thread is moving fast)

A nice touch by the club

Wholesome.

Bazzo would've played with Hewett a fair bit last year I imagine. Colts premiers and all.

Think that’s a pretty harsh call on Edwards. He’s showed good signs in the games he’s played just needs to get fully fit and over the OP (Look what it’s done to a gun player in YEO).

If anything I’d possibly move him too the rookie list.

Trew I would like to keep but I feel like he’s now surplus to requirements so I think that’s it for him.

Trew is barely WAFL standard let alone worth another go in the AFL. Also very injury prone. Winder I feel is worth another year as a rookie.
Out of curiosity have you seen any Trew games? He seems to have been permanently injured. He gets constantly slagged but I rarely see him on the games played ledger at WAFL level let alone AFL . Are we being a bit unfair on him or is he just no good?

My draft dump in one post.

  • AFL really needs to change the bidding rules. Getting pick 2 for 5 picks in the 30s/40s is a joke.
  • I have no doubt dogs bidding on Fletcher is part of the Dunkley grudge. Smacks of them with Ryan Griffen.
  • Any Northern academies gentleman's agreement has gone straight out the window.
  • The Poo has Brendan Goddard levels of FIGJAM about him. One hand hard to late him since he's still 17 but feel some Ross the Boss direct feedback might sort him out very soon.
  • Giants going into mayday was as entertaining as any draft memory in the last 10 years.
  • Ginbey should not be a surprised to us as he has been linked to us all year (along with Cadman mind you).
  • Hewett I have no doubt will end up as a steal.
  • We are so beautifully set for Day 2. Would love to use a 5th pick on a slider if one eventuates.
  • Wardlaw has a lot of mates if you go off North's insta.
There is a really easy fix for the bidding. If a team bids on your player, you have to use a pick in the same round to pay for it. Would straight away remove all this garbage of a bid at pick 14 being covered by a bunch of late 3rd rounders.

Our early draft picks normally get the earliest available numbers.

Ginbey to get 5 and Sheppard to do the presentation. Wesley 1st XVIII coach to captain as a nice touch.
Hewett to get 7 and Masten to present it with Elijah demonstrating what a number 7 "don't argue" was meant to look like.

He doesnt seem to do a lot at WAFL level apart from tackle. Only averages 14 disposals a game.

The lace out kick to Mason Shaw at the 1:22 mark is magnificent.

This

Although perhaps not a pick in the sane round as it gives teams with late round picks not much wriggle room. Maybe say a pick within 18 spots of where the bid comes

Also remove the ability to trade once a bid is placed whilst also not allowing a club to subsequently trade for a pick lower than the one they used to match the bid

Yep hence why I made the comment. Very popular character is the playing froup just not cut out for AFL. Still has the potential to be a good WAFL player but needs to get more confidence in his body first.

Disagree, good size, good hands in tight, nice pace and sidestep.
Needs to work on his fitness and kicking composure but he showed some good stuff at afl level, certainly a lot more to work with than West/Clark.
