It’s amazing how he oscillates between “Simpson is desperately clinging to power”, “Simpson looks like he doesn’t want to be there” and “Simpson shouldn’t be hanging around like this”.

The internal inconsistency between those positions would give most posters pause for thought.
Interesting how you deliberately avoid rebutting the main point of the post with a coherent counter argument. As usual. Because you don't have one.

Maybe for the first time in your life on these boards you can try to actually post a coherent argument. If you don't like or agree with what somebody else thinks then post a counter opinion. All you ever have is snark and ad hominem attacks. It is pathetic.

Lets try an experiment and see if you can post your first ever coherent rebuttal on here. Here is the major point -

It is not in Adam's Simpson's personal best interest to continue coaching the club through the next two seasons after this and then going if he shares the view of the majority of the AFL community that we are likely to be bottom 4 for another two seasons. He might earn a little bit more money after tax than he would earn doing something else. But he would already be pretty wealthy so i don't think the money would be a big deal. And on the other side of the coin it will be very painful and unenjoyable to cop all the blame for another two years, he might get sacked which is worse than leaving on your own terms, he won't get much credit even if he does lay the platform for future successes for the next coach in those two years (the next coach will get the credit, which is a point Simpson has repeatedly made in interviews) and he diminishes his chances of getting a senior coaching job somewhere else in the future.

Please give us a coherent rebuttal addressing the above points and explaining why you disagree and think it is in the interests of a person in Simpson's circumstances to coach the team for another two years and then leave as opposed to going at the end of this year.

Hard to mount a coherent counter argument against someone whose position changes so often. It’s like trying to stitch a button onto a plate of jelly.

Worsfold

BINGO

Sounds more like Petrie maybe?

You really think Petrie is telling randoms what our draft strategy is assuming he even knows or that our recruiters have anything resembling a firm idea on draftees 6 months out before any crucial matches have been played

It’s total BS

Yeah of course, but I think that’s probably who they’re talking about.
