What question?
⬇️
Since we’re apparently going over that trade for the umpteenth time since October, what do you think happens if we don’t get involved in the Port-North trade and hang onto pick 2?

Specifically, when our pick comes up, who do we take? And who’s gone off the board at pick 1?

And the problem is what exactly?;)

It more enjoyable than talking about our performances ATM.

I’m interested in who the top draft prospects are and how they’re performing. Getting access to some top talent is one of few silver linings of this shit truck of a season

Hypotheticals around splitting pick 1 I’m less interested in at this stage mainly because it’ll be an ongoing circular discussion for 6 months

Others will disagree and carry on discussing it as is their prerogative. I’m not going to stop it

Well there is zero conclusive evidence put up by anyone that Sheezel actually was refusing to leave Vic. In fact its the opposite. Hes been quoted as saying he would. So that's my answer.

That wasn’t the question, though.

Ok. Fine. So we don’t get involved in the trade.

North keep pick 1. Who do they take?

And you believe everything a footballer says when interviewed?

He said he was very close to his family.

Is very loyal.

But would have a crack if drafted interstate.

Which is a very well coached politically correct way of saying that he doesn't want to leave, so that he doesn't get accused of draft tampering.

I started a thread in the Draft board.

2023 Trading pick 1 - What would it take?

Can always redirect that discussion there.:thumbsu:

Seeing you refuse to listen to the trade radio interview. Jason McCarntney GWS football manager quoted as

“ I completely understand why West Coast go from 2 and move out to the mid part of the 1st round. It’s exactly the same reason why we want to get from 3 and get to one. Because when your an interstate club and the draft board is predominantly littered with Victorian talent, you’ve got some risk there.”

“You might think it’s fine and you just pick this player and get them into your environmen/system and you think it’s all fine, but if there’s apprehension from a player right from the word go about making the move interstate and they may go home, you just can’t take the risk unfortunately.”

Then asked by Twomey are you drafting from a different draft pool?

“ yeah the draft pool for us and other interstate clubs isn’t the same draft pool, and that’s okay that’s the reality we are not complaining about it, but we do have to look at things a little differently.
Everyone can throw up the players and we love all the players that are being talked about, but some we can’t pick that’s the reality.”

“ you have some guys that are really quite bullish about moving interstate and you’ve got some that rightfully and probably more comfortable to stay at home. It is a different draft pool that some of us look at compared to the Victorian teams”

End quotes

Now if that doesn’t answer your question then I’m sorry.

Miguel Sanchez is Koen really a relative? Or was that just posters putting the names together?

Apart from his injury, he looks like he has put together some great numbers in the colts. He was very impressive with his small forward craft in the last champs game last year.

Well my name isn’t actually Miguel Sanchez, it’s an obscure line from a Simpsons episode, so… :D
