Not that he's eligible as a father son to you guys, but Scott Watters boy is in the Gold Coast academy, and in their U16 team for the U16 championships.

So glad we have the northern academies to stop the son of a former AFL player and coach from taking up another sport

He's a slight upgrade on petrucelle and he won't be getting midfield time with us. So what's the point taking on that contract unless we are incentivised??

I'd see Fisher as an immediate upgrade on Gaff on a wing.

No reason why he can't own a wing for us for the next 5+ years.

Essendon already have about 3 other talls out with back related stress injuries so their supporters aren’t happy

Yeah he’s small, but we’re needing to cut a lot of players this year from guys like O’Neill, Clarke, Trew etc. we still need to fill those blanks and a guy like Fisher would be perfect backup

He’s been disappointing we wouldn’t miss him if he was delisted .. The same goes for Witho , Foley and Rotham who hurt the team more times than actually doing anything good..

Four 21-25 year olds that would be an upgrade on current plodders.

Hit the draft hard and load up a pool of talent 18-19 yo's.

Still have Yeo, Kelly, Hunt, Gov, Barrass, Darling, Ryan, Sheed, Gaff (ugh), Duggan, Barrass as the elder statesmen and retire all others, all of them.

Exactly like the Nick Blakey one I moaned about years ago. He was only up there as his dad was coaching at Sydney, he was entrenched in the AFL environment and always going on to play footy.

Players in these cases should be open draft pool.

Yeah I don't get the angst about that possibility - we won't be paying much both in terms of draft picks and salary because he's on the outer at a side struggling to even make finals. Unless I guess Voss gets sacked/resigned and the new coach thinks he can make something of him.

Of course Sharp and Robertson may also be handy acquisitions but that doesn't mean Fisher should be ruled out as a result.

Fisher has at least shown some very promising signs early on when in the midfield/wing. Has plateaued badly but as mentioned he doesn’t seem to play well as a small forward (though we will no doubt play him there).

Has very good evasion and vision in traffic so you’d think he would work well forward.

Would be nice if he could get stronger. Certainly isn’t timid but gets rag dolled a bit
