Easy for the Royals at the end. Busslinger impressive.
Where did Jedd play ?

With 26 disposals and a goal he certainly had some serious impact on the game.

Busslinger played in the back half, CHB, but he was rebounding a lot. His kicking needs a tidy up, but being the 1st Colts game, skills could have been better all round. EP have some big boys in the team, one fella reminds me of Ian McCulloch - now there's a blast from the past.

lol :p indeed a blast from the past.

McCulloch was a hard bastard, tough as and farted nails.
Back row third from the left.

Brings back some memories Avalor I played against some of the guys in that picture.

Talks of splitting up our pick.

So our recruiters are that shit scared and useless in drafting a mid that they don't trust themselves identifying one in the top 3. They'd rather give the pick away.

Cool
Bogan post. Not much thinking going on there.

Were you critical of the pick split when we drafted Sheed?

Or last year when we got Chesser plus Ports 2022 2nd which is currently is looking like daylight robbery?

**** trading the farm for English. We still have a top ruck playing week in week out and only just got rid of our classic 3 ruck strategy
This year is a good year for rucks. At the moment there's probably 6 genuine options to be drafted this year and a few even for the 2023 draft too.
Take your pick mid-end 2nd round as to not overpay and we are sweet. Gives 2-3 years of development with Nic Nat still playing and Williams coming along hopefully.

Darcy and Sweet are the two young rucks. We tried to trade in Sweet.
I'd like to see Darcy in the ruck but most likely settles as a pinch hitter. If he can be dominant fwd why risk him in the meat grinder.
Sweet is a classic backup ruck. Can win a few hitouts and thats about it. Why wasts a list spot on someone who wont improve the team.

Hewett has been quiet in his league debut for Swan Districts today, but had a couple nice passages of play

Also, I don’t know why people would want to pass on the chance of drafting Wardlaw, Hewett or Tsatas - the 3 top mids this year look very, very good. I’m not interested in trading down unless we get a top 3 pick and we’re only trading down a couple spots whilst netting another first.

Darcy looks more like a forward,
We tried to get sweet for a back up role, who knows he might come good with more responsibility. Not sure the bullies want these guys leading the ruck for a premiership tilt. Mind you if a midfield can cover an average ruck its the bulldogs

Thanks for the memory, Monocle. I was a rabid royals fan, they are still my 2nd team. The photo is grainy, but I recognise a few - Bygraves, Michalcek, amongst them. Good team. Who did you used to play for Monocle?

At this point the top echelon, however i'd say good players rather than the complete package or out and out stars. Depends on other teams needs but I can see a pick around 8 -10 being enough to nab one of the aforementioned players.

I’m not sure, I think Wardlaw, Lemmey and Tsatas all go top 5, Hewett could maybe slide to 6-10 but I doubt it

Here's my only reasonable option for trading in english. Bailey Williams + our Future Second. I see us having no need for him. I absolutely don't want English.

I think we'll finish second last. Pick 2 would very likely get us pick 5 and 10. Enough to pick up Hewett and Broadbent. Then if both players wanted to come across to WA on 3 year contracts i'd offer up our two second rounders for For Robertson and Bruhn.

Sign on all 3 of our SSP picks permanently.
So in reality bringing in
Naish
Dixon
Strnadica
Hewett
Broadbent
Bruhn
Robertson

Combine that with last year
SPS
Chesser
Hough
Williams
Bazzo
Clarke

I'd ****ing take that in a heartbeat.
