Me too. I'd rather take some confidence and pick 3 - 7 in to 2023 than despair and pick 1 or 2.

My ideal scenario is us steadily improving after the bye and then finishing the year with wins in the last 2 rounds against Freo (costing them top 4) and Geelong in Geelong (ideally costing them a spot in the finals altogether).
Lol - that is a dream scenario. We finally win at Kardinya Park in a season where we have been obliterated and finished bottom 4.

You have missed some news.

There was an article earlier this year where it was revealed that he has told Nizzy that after 30 years this will most likely be his last.

To which Nisbett told him he would be missed and that the job was his for as long as he wanted it.

So there is a possibility that he stays on, in reality when you flag in that your off at seasons end, then generally the mind is made up.

He has done a good job with the talls and he has been a honourable servant of the Club but it’s time for a much needed refresh in the recruiting department.
Prefer crazy Vozzo. At least he was pretty honest in his reports.

Argh yes ……. Tim Gepp.

That would be Tim Clayton’s Gepp.

The chaperone you get when you don’t want a chaperone.

Flatline Fletcher…… who could forget.

I though we got rid of him a few years back, but I have noticed of late that the cockroach has been seen in clips and photos hanging around the Club kitted up in West Coast gear.

I suspect Gepp knows where all the skeletons are hidden at West Coast.

For fans of Yellowstone:

If Nisbett was John Dutton then Gepp would be Rip Wheeler.

POTY. I am definitely down for the Yellowstone comparisons.

Not a good look for Norf with Horny-Francis liking trade suggestions involving him

Also would have though Butters has more value than that
I think theres nothing wrong with it,just a young fella having fun.
And if he does want out its understandable
I think itd be great and wait for the uproar from the vics like when kelly nominated us despite the fact its now s regular occurrence that young vic draftees say they dont want to leave home

Just binged the 4 seasons of this 🤠

Remember the good old days when people would randomly blame Tim Gepp for literally everything? Skills? Gepp. Recruiting? Gepp. Coaching? Gepp. Nelson? Gepp in a wig.

Good times.
Gepp clearly responsible for the Brander debacle too. images (4).jpg

This might come from left field but what is everyone’s take on Jason Horne Francis?

Noted, not a West Aussie but was/is touted a generational talent. Is it worth getting in his ear for a free hit? Or a deal to be had with Adelaide/Port to improve our draft position in the PSD.

Seems like a opportunity.

Problem is it could end up being Nesbitt’s son replacing O’Brien

He's contracted until 2023.

How do you improve our draft position in the PSD?

At a guess, Nth would want pick #1. (maybe more... but I'd think that would be about where the value sat)

So it really is a Wardlaw (at this stage, but potentially others) vs Horne Francis discussion. Plus the go home factor (if any) of each player.

Trew can’t catch a break injured again, hope it’s nothing major.

He's a Freo supporter. More likely he'll go there, if he did go to WA.

I think in the injury thread they said it was ITB related.

If so, it should be relatively short term as that can usually be fixed by stretching, recovery etc.

But it is a huge concern that he's getting these sorts of injuries (back, shin splints and ITB) - they aren't contact or one-off injuries, they are over-use style injuries. Assuming he is 100% professional off the field then it is not a good sign. If he isn't 100% professional he has a few months to change it.
