What’s going on with Robertson? Seems to have been a bit disappointing this year.

Getting the Ben Keays treatment.

Being played out of position in the reserves and senior team.

Finally played midfield yesterday in the reserves and dominated (an albeit weakened GWS reserve midfield).

It’s just hard to crack our midfield, and Fagan refuses to drop Lyons (who’s been out of form all season).

Because our pick is picking the best in the whole draft. Hewitt isn't that. Good player and will be a high pick but not top 3

We need to get the best pick we can get. Why limit ourselves just because his from WA. We have pick 2. We should be getting the 2nd best player in the whole draft. Hewitt isn't that.

To answer your question Clark from Vic Country has been a much more impressive midfielder than Hewett, throughout the Championships.

Hewett was good today, but all three of Clark, Ginbey and Hollands had better games.

I like Hewett but I don't think he is the second or third best in this cohort.

Nah Wardlaw is ours if we want him. Ashcroft my gut feel is he probably will go to Kangas after he refuses Lions father son. Ashcroft I reckon wants to stay in Vic.

I also think Phillipou has a high ceiling then Hewitt.

He’s good but nothing unbelievable that you’re looking for with a top 3 pick. And we all know we need that.
He had 3 touches in a wafl game against the wafl eagles, and probably sub 10 touches last week.

so who are those players

Ashcroft - will probably nom for Brisbane. The other question is - he's not a Dusty or Cripps. He's more Walsh or Pendles. But if he doesn't nom Brisbane, whoever has #1 has to take him. The risk/reward in taking another player is too big.

Wardlaw - looks the biznitz. How good will he be though?

Sheezel - Lot's of class. But can he transition to elite midfielder? Or is he a Toby Greene/Steve Johnson type?

Phillipou - how good is he? Could be the best player in the draft, but also could be a player who just doesn't get enough ball.

Hewett - does he have the game to end up in the game's top 10?

Clarke - doesn't appear to be that contest beast. Probably lacks that elite Pendles/Walsh class. But can he be as good as Joel Selwood?



There's lots of questions that the recruiters from all clubs will be working through. Out of those players above there's likely to be different levels of elite once their career is in full swing.

Exactly which is silly. In a draft you pick the best talent. Thats how you win premierships. Not by limiting ourselves and picking WA only talent. Which to be honest this year our WA side is average on talent. We should be looking at the whole draft and picking the best we can.

Yeah, if the WA team is so shit, why would we waste the no. 1/2 pick on Hewitt?

Just take the best available, which WCE will do because that's what they always have done.

God we can get so much improvement next year if we get some new fitness staff and flog our players this preseason
Go back to John Worsfold style of hard preseason when we where so fit
