If I was interstate from Adelaide and didn’t live anywhere near that parafield type area. I’d be turning my phone off for the duration of my holidays and change hotels.
Isnt that the same attitude as the worker working while sick.

There is a rule in place (forthe greater good of society), but I won't obey it because it conflicts with my personal interest.

You know that casual loading is double the value of the combination of sick and annual leave. They get their leave paid as they work. Not getting sick or holiday leave is no excuse, the money has been paid already.
True. Those people should budget better?

But when you have two shifts off and don't get asked back?

It is easy to point the finger, but many people will not think of the greater good when it conflicts with their own self intetest.

Even easier to point the finger when such decisions don't need to be made by yourself.

I am now in a line waiting for a COVID test. My pay won't suffer for missed work, my manager said I am doing the right thing.

I bet many don't have that choice.

The toilet paper was absolutely flying off the shelves at my local supermarket tonight. Was insane. One lady had at least half a dozen 32 packs.

(we do our weekly shop on a Monday, and had pretty much run out)
Should have to trade in an empty roll to buy a new one

If people want to take the time to unravel plus store it in order to sneak some extras then at least they've had to earn it and been inconvenienced

A Toilet Roll exchange program... I like it!

Keeps those empty cardboard tubes off the beaches and parks so our kiddies can't step on them.

I still can't get my head around why the old lady was left for 10 hours at the Lyell Mac emergency dept on the Friday night with COVID symptoms.

My own experience with that hospital is it is a basket case.

Unless you are holding your heart in your lap, you’re at the back or the queue.

She didn't have COVID symptoms.

The registrar just tested her for COVID as a safety measure, so lucky it was picked up.

Judging by my experience of waiting in hospitals those 10 hours would have flown by for her

I just don't get the long queues. SA Health have been saying for months that this was a possibility I just don't get why they couldn't set more up this time around.

What happens if you are in the line-up and need the Men's? Are there facilities? Do they come and talk to you in the car at all about what is going on?
