LOL - so he volunteered his services, not recruited by the club or coach.
Told you so many pages back. Aker makes a statement that he's like to work at the AFC and we get page after page of drivel including 'Inside Information'. Bollocks.
I thought the crows singled him out as if it was some coup but I get the impression its like every time I talked to a good looking girl - they just walked away laughing.

It's not a general discussion on the concept of poster credibility, it's a discussion arising out of one poster's claim to have inside info on a coaching appointment. It's entirely apropos.
Besides which, it's holiday time at the afc and there is precisely zero going on with the new coach. I'm sure, should some info appear about our coach/es which isn't a load of horseshit, then we'll all talk about that instead.

I would hope holidays don't start until this position has been filled and made a priority. Don't the player return in like 3 or 4 weeks?
8 weeks off and threy have been finished for about 4 now.
I think Pyke is on holidays. That's what I was referring to. Plus the players being away. I'm sure this is as close to holiday time as it gets.
So we could be a week or two away from appointing someone?

It was from a very reliable source. Someone that is close to knowing ins and outs.
Plus involved with horses.
My understanding of it is that he offered but has had conversations with the right people. I guess you will all see this time next week.

I'm totally indifferent about Akermanis coming to the club, deep down I think he might be more trouble than he's worth.

Mackay may get the chop if we've got cap space to pay out the contract.
The deal was always going to be done Wednesday or Thursday considering there was a medical, and if you were going to say the trade was happening then of course you'd say he passed a medical.
I don't think I've ever got two Crows players mixed up.

5AA broke the Aker story. Parker was rumoured on here before you posted your information (or made your predictions).
Look, think about this from my end. To me you're just an avatar on an internet forum, I don't know you personally. You're new on here, come posting lots of information claiming a source, none of the information is new (it's a prediction on old news) or not completely obvious.
If you post something down the track that is brand new and not obvious and it happens I'll believe you, obviously.

I thought I was a bit harsh and you asked why I thought you were a fake, so I gave my full reasoning out of respect in case you were not.
That was in response to Bickley incorrectly stating we had to delist 2. Reid never corrected him and said some clubs are running with 38 players. I don't think clubs are terminating contracts to do that and I don't think we will either.
I think we might, well I would if I were in their shoes. If we have cap space, terminating Mackay's contract now will save cap space the following two years where it's obvious we need another gun midfielder. This is the year to do it if we can.
Reid said other clubs were thinking about running with less than 40 for cap space, but he also said it was an option to run more rookies so you get more flexibility next year when the draft is deep. He didn't mention other clubs for that, I assume he was talking generally or about us thinking of doing it.
It would be a ballsy move by the club. I am as frustrated as anyone with his season of turnovers, little girl tackles and general ass chasing. His gold pass this year frustrated me, they got him back into the seniors way too fast when he was dropped to the SANFL.
After this trade period I was thinking he would be a SANFL player and a break glass in case of emergency type if the new boys struggled with form. It will be an interesting couple of weeks coming up.
Maybe not as it all depends on the target
If the target is someone Pyke has previously worked with or has an existing relationship with it would be a head hunting approach opposed to a full interview process
The other factor is there may have been some work targeting and screening possible Assistant coaches prior to Pyke's appointment so once appointed he would be in a to fast track the process
Pyke mentioned at the time of his appointment that getting his structure filled was something they needed to move on really quickly
Maybe it's done however not announced until Pyke returns from holidays

If we were to delist mackay, imo we should rookie list him as we may as well keep him as a depth player in case we have a run on injuries. You never know, it may motivate him to fight his way back with great form...
I would only consider this if we think we will want to use ROB to relieve sauce during the season.
