I think this time around there is a bit more reason to be excited. Pyke was a Strategy coach for a side who vastly outperformed most predictions on the back of their tactical work, whereas Sando came from a side that we weren't really capable of replicating and he didn't appear to be a great tactician.
Saying that most of us loved Sando early on so I will hold judgement for now.
We loved Sando when he was winning, hated him when he was losing. It'll be exactly the same with Pyke or any other coach.
