AFLW 2024 - Round 9 - Indigenous Round - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
You've obviously forgotten the time Folau stubbed his toe after training in July...This is, without a doubt, the greatest crisis in the history of the Greater Western Sydney football club.
The GWS recruiting team includes the father of their star signing, the son of coach Kevin Sheedy, Sam, and Neville Stibbard, stood down and then demoted over bullying claims this year
There are some people (and families) who are making alot of money through GWS, this has nothing to do with football. There's a hidden story going on behind the scene at this club and the AFL will do anything it can to stop it coming out, they created this disaster and they'll try fixing it with even more money.
Publicity grab.
Publicity grab.
It's working.
Storm in a teacup Sheedy would be pulling most to the strings and with Mark Willians doing most of the coaching I dont think this will cause very much trouble at all.
AFL Club CEOs come and go all the time and most dont have that much influence anyway. The best like Brian Cook tend to stay the longest.
I also don't see any issue with them hiring Tom's dad, except for the fact I would have rathered he stayed with the Swans.
This is interesting, remembering he was part of the North Melb. Demetriou cronies club and parachuted into the AFLACTNSW job on that basis some years back. It must have been pretty bad for AD to let this one through.
The dealings I had with Holmes in that role were pretty poor. Nice enough guy but outrageously overpaid compared to those working underneath him and a typical lack of understanding of the nature of footy in Sydney from juniors to seniors to the highest level, shown by blow ins from down south who haven't lived it here.
Not a good look and likely to be an expensive one.
Oh no, They are going to appoint Gubby Allen as CEO
I give GWS 5 years before they merge with Sydney to become the Sydney Giants.
Yep, that'll definitely happen.
This continued undertone of death riding all things GWS baffles me given that their on-going success will directly benefit every other club.
