You know this won’t help GC because they are supposedly signing 27 year old Brandon Ellis to a big money long term contract. Same dumb mistakes from their initial list build.
Say what you like about SOS’s ability to judge talent, his list strategy for GWS was bang on. Invest in high character 20-22 year olds who will be around when the kids come good. Then fill gaps with high character discards like James McDonald Luke Power etc.

Then they should be signing mediocre 32 year olds like Douglas for a moderate payday and 1-2 years. Not mediocre 27 year olds for 5 years.

Just showing the similar trade GWS has completed. Both look fair and even at best.
Glad we did it to get to the pointy end, but you could make arguments either way that it could have been very different result - the risk/reward of future trading.
