If you want a laugh have a read of the Melbourne site and how they are talking up Moloney as the next great leader of men and how he will rip McLean in two when they next play Carlton. Classic stuff.

AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
While Brent Maloney is making an impassioned speech about loyalty, and putting on an angry face about a player (McLean) leaving his club for a first-round draft pick (how DARE he!!!)
His club is desperately trying to convince Luke Ball to ditch his teammates, leave St Kilda in the lurch, and go to Melbourne for free in the preseason draft.
Hypocrisy doesn't even BEGIN to cover that.
Jurrah, Bate and Watts will all be good for at least 2 goals a game. Sylvia, Maric and Wonna should kick about 5 between them per game. Then you have other goal kicking midfielders.
If there is one area we are better than Carlton, it's the forwardline. If you think ours is good for 7 goals per game, then I wonder what you think yours is good for.
Moloney was the player who left Geelong to get Ottens to the Cats.
Perhaps he is a tad bitter about playing for Melbourne and winning two spoons instead of two flags...
You are a fool.
I'll eat my hat if Bate or Watts even get close to kicking 44 goals for the season.
You'll struggle to get 44 from them combined.
Jurrah is the only one out of that lot that has any hope of kicking anything near 40 goals.
Oh, so they were the 6 people with 3 flags I saw masquerading as an AFL team cheersquad in Round 22 this year?Moloney's whole family are mad MFC supporters and I can absolutely assure you that he was stoked to join the dees.
We're a couple of years behind you guys but I think we're going to catch up quicker than you all think.
No doubt Carlton and Melbourne have both timed their runs almost perfectly with the expanded comp. I reckon Melbourne would probably like to be one year more advanced than now due to the somewhat compromised draft this year.
Good luck to Brock, happy with pick 11 though.
A second rate footballer, who came second in a best and fairest for a second tier football club...hence the playing no. 22.Who on Earth is Brent Moloney?

It'll be interesting to watch Carlton next year.
Interesting that you point out our poor forward line. Coming from a club whose no. 1 forward targets will be Lachie Henderson, who is not much older than Watts; and Setanta O'hAilpin, who the less said about him, the better.
Speaking of CJ, how did he do this year?
Well done on getting Brock. Heard that Ratts may also be interested in Robbo.
Looking forward to Melbourne offloading Daniel Bell, Michael Newton and Paul Johnson to Carlton in next years trade week.
True, its hard to bag someone you don't remember seeing play.lol @ all the Moloney baggers on here.
I'd much sooner give pick 11 for Moloney than I would for McLean

Is the 48 in your username your IQ???
You forgot to mention Jarrod Waite and Eddie Betts who will be key contributors this year as well as Murphy kicking his usual 30 odd plus goals from the middle the most from any pure midfielder in the comp this year and big Matty Kruezer floating forward and having a say.
You just keep dreaming about your tin rattling rabble that will be lucky to be around in 5 years time. I doubt you care much though as the slopes of Buller and Falls Creek seem so much more enticing than watching the rabble that is Melbourne trying to be competitive in a league that has gone past them. Now run along to your own board and talk up how good of a pick Jack Watts was and leave the Carlton talk to us.
