Competitions Design a Desktop/Mobile phone Wallpaper

OK all you creative types. We need some new desktop wallpapers to offer on our blog so here's your chance to show off your graphic design skills.

Design a Geelong Football Club themed Computer desktop wallpaper or mobile phone wallpaper and you can win a copy of of the Brisbane Bears versus Geelong match in 1992 where Geelong kicked the AFL record score.

Computer wallpaper file size shoule be 1600x1200 or 1920x1080 pixels. Mobile phone wallpaper 240x320 pixels

Theme anything Geelong related: Past & present players, great moments, logos, or just some form of fantasy thing. Use Google images to find pictures.

The final winners will be decided by a forum vote.

All entries will feature on our blog wallpaper page for ppl to download.

To post images use something like photobucket. Post your entries in this thread.

Footy Wallpapers are hard to make because of the lack of HQ images. If someone knows where i can find decent sized images I might be able to make something better.

I suggest scanning the images from the yearbooks is a good way to get HQ images or use a motion capture program on a HD video from a torrent.

if u can't find large images then use the smaller ones to make mobile phone wallpapers.

I know this is an old thread but I wasn't sure where to post this, so let me know if there is a more appropriate place to post it, just thought you Geelong supporters would like it.

Made for my nephews birthday (his whole family are Geelong supporters), not quite finished yet as I can't decide on the background, I like the orange as it makes the rest pop out but blue is probably more appropriate, might try having a fading light or something behind the big shield instead of the plain background. Might add a shadow under the cat and small shield as well. Will print it out when finished and hand write birthday wishes etc down the bottom in a calligraphy style that will suit the image. These images are a fair bit smaller then the original file.

Any ideas to improve it would be greatly appreciated. all drawn from scratch using a program called Sketchbook Pro with a Wacom tablet.

Certainly not posting it on the hawks forum after Friday night, was hard work having to make this after the game on Friday but the things we do for family.

No sorry it's not my work, I just found it on the net and used it.

Might save you the hassle of designing and printing it yourself.

Excellent. Let us know what they're like.

I would love to see similar designs of current and recently retired Cats legends like Linga, Scarlo, Chappy, Jimmy etc.
