got a tasty finals series on our hands but i was wondering if anyone knows how the promotion/relegation system works. does 1 or 2 teams go up/down and which teams would be going up?

You’d think 2 go up and one comes down with the Bullants moving. Which gives us 10 teams in division 3.

Not to forgot the possibility of Masala and Mentone returning to divisional footy in 2025.

Mentone won the Thirds Div 2 South flag yesterday by 50 points. They still only have one side and tbh wouldn't have made the top 6. Highly doubt they will have another full side (2's) as of next season.

Quite an older list as well.

Agree re the older list but the mail is that they are exploring returning with the VAFA blessings GY.

And that’s a wrap for the season.

A beautiful day in Dandenong for the JOCS big win. Not the game I wanted to see but with the ball and chain’s family in Noble Park for the weekend, it was the closest fix available. Carnelly reigns supreme once again. 1,100 goals in a career is insane.

Credit to NB for the minor premiership. Looks like they’ve steered the ship back in the right direction after 3 wins by 100+ but fixture has worked in their favour.

Exciting final series ahead. Keysborough is the team to beat with quality across the park, but only just. Any team can win on their day, great for the culture.

Yours,
TB
Has carnelly played NB? looks like he was only available when they were playing former D4 clubs, but to his credit he'd be 40+ so still a pretty good effort

The VAFA can't be seriously considering hosting a final at Canterbury? Absolute dump of a ground with a very unsafe bluestone wall occupying a portion of one side of the ground. Rooms that are aren't big enough for juniors and parking... well good luck.
HEARD SAM MCCLURE IS GETTING THE CALL UP. GIVE THE FANS WHAT THEY WANT. ONLY A BAD TRADESMAN BLAMES THEIR TOOLS. PREDICTING A SELL OUT AT THE COBRA BASKET

can the snakes charm the cobras?

Wondering if they will have an entry fee at Canterbury and St Johns this week and how they will enforce it, both grounds aren't gated off.

Knowing the Ammos, they will have a little table set up near the rooms and if your unlucky enough to walk past they will ask you to pay. Otherwise invest your entry money via the canteen or post match for a drink to support the hosting club.

Correct...good luck finding a parking spot though.

Also why are the senior games in our division played at different times?

St Johns 1.30pm and 2.00pm at Canterbury, whilst both reserves games commence at 9.40am rather than 11.40 as per the normal season?

Parking shouldn't be as much of an issue with the ridiculous time slot for he reserves. They'll be long gone by senior arrival.

In defence to North finishing top (decided by winning %) they did along with Canterbury have the hardest fixture playing the top 5 more and the bottom 3 less than the other finals teams. Jocs and power had an easier draw.

At least when you eventually find a park you know your car is safe. The same can't be said parking near Thomas Carroll.

Incredible that someone is actually paid to come up with this fixturing nightmare as well as the win percentage deciding top spot due to rostering teams to play an uneven amount of games

Has to be a piss take
Farcical and and only slightly better than the original take one where they had the reserves playing at 2pm and the seniors at 9.40am????

I believe PH only played against Chadstone and EP once who were pretty comfortably bottom 2. Only one game against JOCs though, so you're right that both of them had a slightly easier draw given the top 4 only lost to each other. I do think NB getting rolled in consecutive weeks by JOCs and House, losing top spot but then regaining it by win% is a weird look though.

Hopefully next year everyone plays an even number of games and there's little to debate over

The jocs should have an easier draw as if you are going by last season they are playing sides in a division above where as the snipers arent...
