It doesn’t matter now as he’s gone, but how didn’t ETH see the talent that Amad possesses. Such a weird manager/player relationship that one.
He played a bit under ten hag didn't he this season?

Can't say he particularly impressed me today, he's just OK.

He's a flashy winger who has had only a few good moments so far, with more poor moments but the standard overrating of United players will continue.
'Only a few good moments'

He is quality, he has been just about the best player in the league since Amorin took over.

Salah and Palmer are probably the only players in better form than he is.

If that bloke doesn't rate him he's probably a superstar

5 assists and 2 goals in 6 league starts since Amorin took over

He’s been brilliant. He was also United’s best player in his 35 minute cameo against Arsenal.
Ha ha, ****ing hell.

He was more out of the team than in it. Amorim has given everyone games, but Amad seems to have settled regularly in the XI.
You know it's true. Been 8 years of hearing about these budding stars who have done nothing.

I know it’s true about the other players. Amad is just starting his career.

Oh good, we are saved! Zirkzee and Antony have come on.

I was thinking Yoro, Antony and Zirkzee might be the worst 3 subs United have simultaneously brought on. They didn't do anything when they came on.

Credit to Amad. Won the penalty and scored a great goal. Not sure what Gvardiol was doing on the line.

Bradesmaen didn’t want Patrick Cripps when he was in his contract year, he has gone on to win two Brownlow’s since then.

Imagine how excited I will get if Brades starts talking about Crippa’s lack of team success. :)

Gvardiol needs a spell out of the sides.

Mental mistakes pretty much every game, and in an ideal world we'd leave him out for a mo th and get his head right.

I'd love to get his thoughts on Harley Reid's future in that case

He's got a point. Loads of United come in, get talked up as superstars rather than promising kids and then disappear.

Kieron Richardson, Janusaz, Lingard, Mainoo, Garnacho. Only takes a good half dozen games and I don't think it's great for their development.

Nah you should put Walker in the bin

“He won’t end up at Carlton.”, I hope. :p

No doubt. But every footballer is different. City probably had a stack of their own promising kids that ended up not doing anything, until Foden came along. If only takes one.

No-ones going in the bin at the moment.

I'm sure Walker will be elsewhere next season, and I'm sure Gvardiol will be back in our best 11.

Just needs a break.

I feel this happens at all big clubs, especially with English players. No doubt it is more prevalent at United purely because of the size of the fan base.

It's early days for Amad, but so far he looks a quality player. We'll know in a season or two if he's the real deal or another overhyped academy product.

All I can say is, I actively dislike United, and yet I have really enjoyed watching Amad since Amorin took over.

Even Ronaldo was in and out of the united side in his first few years. Foden had 3 or 4 league titles before people stopped saying we were ruining his career by having him on the bench too much.

Too much too soon isn't necessarily the best thing for a kid. And sometimes a good manager (not saying eth was good) has to sacrifice the here and now to protect young players.

Maybe his time to step up is now, I'd be surprised if he didn't spend plenty of time this season off the bench or out of the squad.
