Pou is a mid/forward, Tsatas was more a speculative pick, other outside mids taken top 10 haven't worked out i.e. Jared Polec
😂😂😂😂😂
Having watched both a reasonable amount I do not agree.
Phillipou is a forward who can play midfield.
Tsatis is not an outside midfielder. He is a clearance midfielder.
I rate Phillipou. He would have been my pick but Tsatis was not a speculative pick . He was rated top 3 early this year before his injury and although he is not a total physical beast he is an exceptional clearance player who has enough power and speed break out of the clearance .

And saying Pou>Tsatas isn't controversial and a quite widely held opinion
Except any draft expert worth their salt had Tsatas as a top 3 Pick basically all year. Cal Twomey had him top 5 all season, whilst Phillipou didn't even make his top 10 until late.

In fact Phillipou was considered a bolter for the top 5 by just about anyone outside of one former bigfooty 'expert'. To say Phillipou was rated higher than Tsatas is not widely held - it is straight up wrong.

You are talking out of your ass. That's fine to do on your board if you wish, but keep in mind where you are posting.

You keep replying to my posts and giving me notifications I only came here to say we didn't want to play Essendon we requested Collingwood

Can you please shut up. Adding nothing to this thread.

I was responding to someone claiming we didn't want to play collingwood when they were our first choice, and most likely would have rather played Carlton or Richmond as they would draw a bigger crowd.

The St Kilda Members allocation has sold out
Lol, such an awesome club you got turned down 3 times

The St Kilda members allocation is bay 7 standing room capacity 25 people, well done on selling all the tickets

Tsatas was the consensus pick, with Poo being a new shiny thing.

Jared Polec was working out as a damaging outside mid at Port, he struggled when he went to North and more was required from him cause he took the big bucks, but an outsider user is pointless is a team that doesn't win enough of the ball.

Tstatas is an inside/outside mid who wins his own ball and links up on the outside. The one knock being he's not defensive minded enough, he's demonstrated time and again he's a natural midfielder.

What makes Poo speculative is whether or not he'll be a midfielder. Same with Perkins, which is why we don't need another. It was a battle in our list management team on draft day because Dodoro consistently drafts players who are very good flankers thinking those traits can be translated into big bodied mids.

I think Poo has looked excellent and has a big impact, despite low possession count, cause he is a goal kicker and hard at the contest. I think Essendon has no need for that player in any demographic with Stringer, Langford, Perkins and Voss already on our list.

We needed genuine mids over 185cm, that wad Tsatas and Setterfield. As well as Martin last year. The only problem has been the injury to Tsatas. From what has been exposed so far, the only players picked after him in the draft that fit Essendons needs are the genuine mids taken top 10, of which Gibney appears the most interesting so far.

Good luck to Poo, looks like very good young player, but would have been the wrong pick at Essendon, and wrong for him as well. He'd be playing VFL cause the changes we were looking for were genuine small forwards or inside mids.

Obviously someone didn't read any draft content except for the post-draft puff piece on the kid his club drafted. Whoops.

Yes and just happens to be the most recent year, we requested to play a bigger drawing club we have history with (Collingwood):eek::eek:

Fragile egos on this board

Excuse us if we think you're being a complete goose by coming onto our board and trying to convince us that Essendon aren't as big as the other three big Melbourne clubs. We've had a drought for twenty odd years while it has poured for Collingwood/Richmond and even Carlton have had a sip of the finals drink in that time yet our club were slightly behind on attendance and membership in a year they finished 4th, 7th and 9th while we languished in 15th. Spare us.

you are literally told Carlton get more MCG games then us, than you proceed to link AVG crowd attendances.

Go look at the last 10 years and tell us who gets bigger crowds, us or Carlton. 2022 is literally the first year in almost a decade Carlton had a better crowd avg than us.

Yes the AFL does us no favours
With 27 wooden spoons, you're lucky to have stayed in the league.
Maybe you should get some more Tasmanian players, seeing as it seems as though any time you have a good team you have a Tasmanian captain at CHF.

Ok they're last years stats and currently you have more Carlton fans turning up than Essendon. The last 10 years are irrelevant for this game.

Rent free how??? All I'm trying to do is explain Essendon was not our choice for this game

I was more responding to your comment about us being the smallest "big 4 club", which is just plainly crap, based on recent stats. Carlton are a genuine chance this year with huge improvement in 2022 whilst Essendon are likely bottom 4 and going through a rebuild. OFC they are going to get more interest from their fans. They have played Richmond and Geelong at the MCG where we have played Gold Coast at Marvel and a total inept Hawthorn and the MCG. Both on a Sunday arvo.....

With all do respect I dont think anyone on this board gives a toss if we were St Kilda's choice rofl, i dont really think anyone's going to bat that eye lid. You are better off talking about the actual game, rather than trying to troll us.

We love a good banter in here but you know you are irrelevant, and trying to make us buy into the fact we aren't your first choice is not even a good troll.

So the Saints were hoping for one or the "bigger 4" and were told their club is irrelevant?

Without Steele they look extremely short on players that can absorb pressure and be damaging ball in hand.

Guys like Ross and Crouch quickly turn into ineffectual players under any sort of heat.

If we can limit Sinclair’s influence on the game then I’m not sure the remaining Saints players are likely to be good enough over 4 quarters to beat us. Marshall is another one we have watch out for.

Are your ears painted on? We play more games at marvel= Lower crowds
We played a home game against hawthorn at marvel last year and got 35k, if that’s at the mcg it’s 55k+. You really aren’t that smart are you.

He'll make DoDo pay for picking Tsatas, recently said in an interview the team he most wants to beat is Essendon

Out of the kindness of our hearts we're offering 20% discounted tickets
Would be funny to see 75k at the G, and 80% dons fans
