Just out of interst, tried to buy a ticket on Ticketec's website in any area within public reserve. I tried for a block of 4 seats and got this message:

"Unable to obtain the tickets you requested. The event may be sold out or the number of tickets requested is greater than the maximum available adjacent seats."

Tried for a single seat and got the same message.

Don't know if its a problem with them updating a new block of seats, or they are all gone.

If this is the case don't expect to just walk up on the day even if you are an AFL member.

I'm glad I got my 5 tickets in the AFL Reserve last week. Its a long trip from here to be locked out.

Who knows, but its going to be a huge gamble, with a week of sales still remaining.

im confused........some people are saying all seats are sold out some saying new seats are gonna come out....your saying its a gamble with still a week of sales but if its sold out how is their still a week of sales....if there is a week of sales ill book my ticket now and not get general admission but apparently i cant do that??????????????????????

Get into ticketec while you are still on your PC and try and get a ticket. If you can, grab it, why gamble.

Just telling you that you can't at the moment and I don't know if this is permanent or not.

However a good indication of a game's capability to sell out is the AFL Reserve bookings. With a week to go they are basically all pre sold.

Remember the Blue's supporters will be lining up for general admission as this is a Tigers home game.

My mates and I are coming over from adelaide for the weekend and booked our tickets last thursday. We are in top tier on the wing all 9 seats together pretty lucky by the sounds of it.

Get into ticketec while you are still on your PC and try and get a ticket. If you can, grab it, why gamble.

Same here no hope of getting a seat on tiketek, going to ring the club tomorrow to see if they can advise whether we can get admission to the ground on game day for non reserved seating members.

I was under the impression that the AFL members always have to leave some bays on level 1 for walk up on gameday which has always been the case with me no matter how big the game

Just keep trying. I know that TT can hold the ticket for 8 minute for people who are about to pay. If they don't pay up in 8 minute time, the seat will go out to public.

So keep persevering.

The key word you see on ticketek's website is Allocation Exausted. QUite a fancy way of saying they don't have anymore to sell at the moment.

It hasn't been called fully ticketed so the MCG/MCC would still have General Admission seating areas up their sleeves. It's just wait and see time now until it's declared a "fully ticketed" game and those seats that the MCG has not allocated to ticketek get released. That said since all the original allocation is sold out I wouldn't leave it to chance on match day if it's declared fully ticketed.

530pm - 6pm no later. Iam sick of reading that people wont get in etc etc. Its not a sell out will be maybe but as we stand now its not. Get there early so u dont have to queue up as simple as that. Everyone will get in.

You are quite correct.

However, when the AFL issues a 'Reserve on Demand' warning, these areas in level M, that are previously available, get pre sold.

You should have got an email advising you of this fact. I certainly did. That's why I panicked and got reserved seats. Only level Q available by then, but they get you in.

Just ordered 2 tickets for 90 each on the lower level of the ponsford stand....I have a bad feeling this is where Carlton will be.....

What happens if i dont pay on EBAY? If general admission is annouced. I am coming from Brisbane to see the game so i can get to the ground first thing in the morning if i have to. Just dont want to run with a chance of getting there and missing out.

Nonono, don't worry mate. If it sells out, it sells out. I can always watch it on the telly at home. I'd love to go, but if I can't its not the end of the world.

Guys, the club has there allocation of reserved seats on level 2 & 3 of the Southern Stand which are for members/coiterie groups/sponsors and the like. They hold these until a few days before the game and any seats that aren't taken are then released to the public for sale.

As PHX said, the words on the Ticketek website say allocation exhausted. I've had this happen to me when trying to get tickets to away games against the Pies only to end up with seats on level 2 or 3 a couple of days later. So there is a chance that these tickets may end up going on sale early next week, most likely Monday.

Best advice would be to ring the club today and make enquires about these tickets.

M3 behind the goals nice yeah would be well worth it thats for sure. I have been telling madtiger and a few other tiger fans that i know to book for this weeks and weeks ago. Wouldt get off there arse and yeah if not for me they miss out. What i dont like is the fact the afl leave the best seats for last level 1 afl members not on sale yet walk up will do me nicely i still have 6 tickets to off sell haha
