Re: Sold Out... Rich v Carl.

Guys this is what its like. This is what the Tiger Train rolling actually means. Turning up with 95,000 otherds to see last years 9th at home. Phenomenal. We have been saying it for years...now maybe it is happening.

If we can be competitive and get into the second half of the season with our big Home MCG games to come we will smash every attendance record in the book. Maybe, just maybe, at long long last it is happening.

Forget silly AFL recognised membership figures, forget the failures. Just imagine the sea of Yellow and Black and the roar as 50,000 Tigers welcome Richo and the team onto OUR home ground in OUR home area to take of our bitter rivals......nothing like it in Aussie sport. Nothing.

Go the Big Beautiful Tiger !!

Re: Sold Out... Rich v Carl.

Just received reply from RFC : pretty much what we already suspected...

Thank you for your email.

At this stage your membership card will gain you entry into this match
as it is not a sell out, however tickets are selling fast so we are
recommending you purchase reserved seats to guarantee you entry. Your
2009 membership card does not guarantee you entry into the match, as
there is a limit on how many people can gain entry with a general
admission ticket.

Tickets are currently available at Ticketek who can be contacted on 132
849 or at
www.ticketek.com.au.
If you quote the 12-digit barcode on the
back of your membership card you only need to pay for the price of the
reserved seat only and not entry into the ground as you already have
this with your membership. You can purchased tickets for non-members as
well so you can all sit together, however they will pay the full price
of a ticket.

If you wanted to sit in general admission, I would recommend you get to
the ground early, as there may only be standing room and a limited
amount of general admission seats available.

Kind Regards,

Re: Sold Out... Rich v Carl. EDIT: Not really sold out, yet.

They must have released about 200 tickets because half an hour ago I could get 5, now I cant get any.

Tomorrow morning I guess.

It wouldnt want to be. Shithouse form from ticketek.

Re: Sold Out... Rich v Carl. EDIT: Not really sold out, yet.

I still think I'll be able to rock up on the day and get seats with my membership.

Re: Sold Out... Rich v Carl. EDIT: Not really sold out, yet.

The best thing about this is that it is a richmond home game.

That means that all the money goes to richmond

If 85k turn up it means a windfall of approx 250k to the rfc. That money goes straight to the bottom line.

Encourage your carlton friends to attand please

Re: Sold Out... Rich v Carl. EDIT: Not really sold out, yet.

I just brought 7 tickets from ticketek, which are on level 4 though.

Not that it concerns me considering ill be standing in the tiger army.

But there definetly must be a fair few tickets left on the top level.

Re: Sold Out... Rich v Carl.

You're joking.

I got a front row up in the nose bleeds yesterday.

i doubt it mate - if you find out though let us know - i might get in early and get 6 seats somewhere else - mine about 2 kilometer out from the moon

Re: Sold Out... Rich v Carl. EDIT: Not really sold out, yet.

I understand that some people carn't afford a 11 home game with a reservered seat $286 but knowing how we finished last year.It would have solved a few of your problems there still may be a chance to get one though iv'e had one for 15 years now.You peoples might need to look at something like this cause we are only going to get stronger and then you will find it a lot harder to get into certain games.Cheers

I just gave it a go and got 6.

It's not sold out, they're just really lazy releasing new blocks of tickets it seems.

Re: Sold Out... Rich v Carl. EDIT: Not really sold out, yet.

Well, guess I'll have to eat my words, I checked Ticketek a few times with no luck, called them several times only to be told to try later!

What does that mean? The way I see it either there are tickets available or there aren't.

Anyway, called them around lunchtime and hey presto, tickets available!

My guess is Connex run Ticketek too.

Apologies to all if I caused a panic.
