We still have midfield issues. Particularly the fact we keep getting smashed at the clearances.

If Fev comes to Brisbane, it will be interesting to see if Voss goes after a quality mid with pick 12.

I would hate to see the blues front up with Rischitelli added to their midfield and bradshaw patrolling within 20 metres of goal.

this has been the best trade period in years, everyday holds new laughs at the expence of carlton.

i cant believe that carlton could possibly entertain such a pathetic trade they must really be despreate to get rid of fevola, he must of really done something really bad !!

wasnt it carlton which said that if a player cant play 100 games or something wont be recruited to carlton........or something to that extent

I like it.

As a neutral fan (ok not quite, not a Carlton lover), it's good to see Micheal Voss really taking a stab at putting together a winning team.

I'd much rather see a bloke try and fail (which is yet to be seen in Voss' case), then do what some coaches have done in the past and take the safest possible route.

Wow, if this trade happens then Brisbane are the big winners.
They get a FF with still 3-4 good years left in him and lose Bradshaw who is close to the end. Rischa is an ok player but I think the Lions should get this trade done because it really is a win for them.
Brown and Fev now that is a forward line.

The Lions must be paying most of his salary.

I agree - Voss obviously thinks there is some crap on the list and wants them all out now. Instead of drafting heaps of unknown kids in a thin draft, he is trying the Roos approach of giving later picks for solid players.

He may end up looking silly - but he is showing some balls that may end up giving him a solid team (in the short term anyway).

If his theory is get a Buchanon for 3 solid years instead of giving blokes like Sheldon a game when he is never going to make it then good on him!

Couldn't agree more - it seems as though he has taken a leaf out of Kevin Sheedy's book and seen trading as a key to success. It will either make or break him - hopefully make!!!

Bradshaw kicked a heap of goals as the number two in brisbanes forward line. He will struggle with the best defender on him and as the main focal point. Dont kid yourselfs you just lost about 30 -40 goals ayear once fev left .

Bradshaw has played 2nd and 3rd fiddle as a forward. Put him in front of the carlton midfield and add Rischitelli and its a win.

carlton probably have the 3rd best midfield in the competition behind st kilda and Geelong, and with the loss of ball, st kilda's 'hardness' took a big knock.

bradshaw also is more team oriented and disciplined than fevola, brilliant as the fev is.

nope Carlton are stronger from this trade.

I love Braddy and it will be sad to see him leave the Gabba, but the reality is that Braddy is 33 and Fev is 28. If they can keep him under control this will be a major win for the Lions. And don't forget, even though Fev is a nob, he kicks plenty of goals.

Bradshaw won't be able to find the oodles of space he enjoyed by parking behind a rampaging Brown.

Carltons forward line always looks very chaotic and crowded to me.Fev did extremely well to kick as many as he did.

I' ll be staggered if Bradshaw kicks more than 50 next year.

Carlton is getting ripped off something shocking by Brisbane. If that's the best offer, and I was a Carlton fan, I'd hope the deal doesn't go through and he stays there regardless of his attitude. The Blues wont let him slip up again!

they will still need their small forwards and the midfielders to kick goals as well. they cant keep relying on the main focal points to kick their goals every week

Brown and Bradshaw make a good duo but Brown and Fevola will be a different story. If Brisbane can land him they really could give the top 4 or even the top 2 a real shake.

They will be a great combination. But i doubt top 4 or top 2. They have a very ordinary backline!
