Fevola for Bradshaw & Rischitelli?

i think by accepting this deal, many people now see (self included) how bad things have gotten. Fev is to blame. He stuffed up, He left the club with no bargaining power and has left a big hole in all of us and our side.

I, like i have said all along will renew my membership and stand by the club no matter what.
Going to be VERY interesting to see how our 40k+ members welcome Fev and treat him next year when we meet at the dome. Will most ignore the mess he left? or will they boo him for the things he done to be traded. Personally im furious with Fev. :thumbsu:

There is no fricken way I would ever boo him. I love him ( in a football fan sort of way) and Yes I am shitty with him for stuffing his future up at the blues but he didn't want to leave. So I hope the rest of the Carlton faithful cheer him and dont boo.

Feel sorry for Bradshaw, man he will be under pressure. Imagine he struggles and Fev dominates I can see the carlton fans turning on him quickly.

I love Brad as a player however if I was him i would say at 31 years of age i do not need this type of pressure or stress. Big shoes to fill.

Word from ex-premiership player is Fevs time is UP - trade or no!!!!!!!

My understanding is that Fev's time is up and they'll even trade a 3rd rounder for him if it got to that

However, if they can't trade him by week's end, it's a problem - at the least he'll be in the Bullants for quite some time.

Hadn't heard they'd sack him, is that what you heard?

Just had a quick look at Bradshaw's career stats and I noticed he's missed 2 whole years of football (99 & 07), however both times he's bounced back the next year and had pretty good seasons.

http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/pc-brisbane-lions--daniel-bradshaw

I'm reasonably sure he missed both cos of knee recos but can anyone clue me in on whether this is 100% correct and if so was it the same knee twice or has he done both?

Other than that, from a quick glance it doesn't appear that he's had any other major injuries, but I still reckon it's risky taking a bloke about to turn 31...

:DHa ha ha....i hope you are not serious about Thorp. You say Bradshaw plugs a hole a best but Thorp has never got on the park. the only thing he would be plugging is the door to the injury room. He has no form at all whereas at least Bradshaw has something to offer.....21 games in 2009 is not a filler. Thorp.......ha ha ha!

Im between laughing like a lunatic, can you present me with Thorp's medical documents?

We'd do a medical check on him and asses the risks from there.

He's got plenty more upside than Bradshaw.

"We’ll see what happens. Not too sure," was Bradshaw’s blunt response to SEN when asked if he was looking forward to a move to the Blues.

Rischitelli was even less forthcoming. ‘‘Yeah, we’ll see what happens,’’ he told reporters.

TROUBLE

Broken ankle in his last game before he was drafted to the AFL.

Hip problems since he was 16 which have required surgery since he's been at Hawthorn.

Snapped sesamoid which ended his season this year and is worse than the injury that ruined Adrian Whiteheads career.

Bigger problem child than Fev.

Yeah, apprently Rischitelli is not keen on moving to the Blues (or Victoria at all) as he is settled in up in QLD.

Will be interesting how this pans out..

SEN did an update. They asked Rischitelli his intentions. He sounded VERY VERY unsure, and unhappy. Bradshaw is apparently keen. Even if Rischitelli says no, the deal will probably go ahead, and I suspect Rischitelli knows that.

Also, are we really better off financially? Fev costs about 700k per year, and Bradshaw plus Rischitelli are about 600k at least.

There'll be lots of spin trying to make this deal sound like a "win-win", but it couldn't be further from the truth unfortunately.

I just wish we showed some ticka and pride, and said "not good enough", "no trade". Then the ball would be in the Lions court to offer something serious, otherwise we go down the extended suspension path like the Cats and Pies did with great success. :)

You can be rest assured that Ratten and the club will be emphasizing to Bradshaw that we do not want him to carry our forward line the way Fev did, and that Carlton wants to move towards a much more balanced attack, and that we don't care how many goals he kicks. This HAS to be the message delivered to make Bradshaw comfortable with the situation.

One of the reasons I'm starting to come around to this trade, is how refreshing it will be next season when not every single kick inside 50 goes to Fev. We will have a target that you need to respect (Bradshaw), but a lot more unpredictability.

I think it will also affect the play and carry of our midfield. Think about how many times we bomb kicks into the forward line because we have faith Fev can beat his man. Without Fev, we will carry the ball more through the half-forward line and i think it will only result in our very capable midfielders kicking more goals.

Spot on!!

C'mon Bradshaw & Rischitelli, you can have a huge influence on Carlton's future successes from next year and beyond. Please bloody refuse it and keep Fev at Carlton.:thumbsu:

The club has been a rabble for the best part of 10 years and looks like it we'll continue on that path for now. The recruiting has been been pathetic and the only thing they have got right was the one handed on a platter ie. Judd and the Number 1's.

It really is bizarre. A football department that don't know anything about football.

And this rubbish about our forward line being more unpredictable. The fact is, this is the coaches and players fault. If player A has 4 players hanging off him, then you would expect player B & C to be free. Just poor coaching and players not using their head. Plus the fact that the rest of the tall targets aren't good enough. Luckly though, we've acknowledged this in the trading period and.. oh wait.

FYI. The Carlton forward line was the heighest converting forward line in 2009 from entries to score.

Yes that is correct our forward line was number 1, you know why that is ?

Thanks SC. Was just going to post something for Malifice about Thorp.

So Thorp could come to Carlton......:D:D ha ha ha (that's the lunatic laughing!)

Unfortunately it won't matter. We'll take whoever the Lions were going to delist. Voss knows that. If Rischitelli refuses it'll make this "deal" even worse than it already is. Someone has to draw a line in the sand here. It's ridiculous. :)

The boys look pretty pumped NOT

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!! **** off with this trade, cfc have you been smoking crack? can't every one see we up are being ****ed up the arse with one of fevs's giant dildo's??

I can :( and I'm not happy about what the CFC are about to do, and by the looks of the poll, neither are half the other supporter's, this deal better not happen.:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

Im convinced all the head's at Carlton have lost the plot, if they think this is a fair deal, that's all I have to say.
