Fixture Finals 2022 - Cats go in as Minor Premiers.

We are #1 for now.
What will we get date time and date wise.


Who do we want to play as 4th Seed.

And of course... where the **** will they send us now?!?!

MY preference will be the G on Sat arvo - we have earned that right to allow GFC supporters to get there unabated.

But in reality it will be a night game at the G... probably Friday... with the trains not running, double road works and something else to make it harder for supporters to get there.

And there is no chance of a home final but we are sued to that kind of fisting by the AFL.

And NOONE gave us a chance to be here. No one.

Playing at the MCG is a given so no use worrying about it. But for gods sake the club needs to push for a Saturday game. Every single year a massive chunk of our fans can't make it because we play on Friday night.

The AFL has failed to give proper recognition to the achievement of being the best team over the regular season.

Geelong already had more McClelland trophies than any other team. This extends our lead out to two above Essendon.

We will have to be mentally ready for a team to come out against us like a buzz saw. So far we have had the system, skills, cohesion, and desire. But clinical can often be eclipsed by ability and massive desperation. We have to be able to deal with that sort of manic pressure in finals.

and having Gold Coast and west coast as our last two game may not be ideal

Of the other contenders I'd most prefer to play Collingwood. I don't think they are as dangerous as the other teams. They've had a good streak but we're clearly better and I don't think they have the weapons to trouble us.
Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane have some weapons which shouldn't trouble us but could.

Having said that, if playing one of the interstate teams meant we got to play at home, then I'd definitely take that.

Melb are in bad form but their midfield can trouble us dont want them. Luckily we wont get them in week 1. Looking like we will get freo or collingwood which im comfortable with.
