I think this game shows the importance of good depth. Fremantle's is good whereas Essendon's is ordinary.

Freo were far too good. Depth is very important to be a contender and Fremantle's depth killed our depth. When we have guys like Colyer and Jetta around, that isn't going to win us a premiership.

That said, it is hardly doom and gloom like some of the people here are portraying this out to be. Freo will be contenders and Essendon aren't there yet.

Freo are better than Essendon and they have better depth than Essendon, as they are and do of15 or 16 other sides, no panic buttons pressed here. Geez it's not like we are Richmond or Carlton

The outs are pretty even imo. Myers and Goddard's outs annoyed me because there size was going to be where we had an advantage over Freo imo.

TBH I didn't think of the ruck situation when posting that - which does even things up, especially against the dominant Sandilands.

Getting them back ASAP will propel you guys back into the top four in no time (unfortunately). Too many quality players.

No one is judging Mark Thompson. I mean did Chapman and Fletcher really need to miss or were they being rested.. I think he didn't think he needed them, based on what we served up last week. He and the team came in FULL of confidence expected an easy win.. A bit cocky if you ask me.
